I wish that there were more preachers like this man. I was in a seeker sensitive church and end upon leaving in the midst of the pandemic as the messages preached remained the same. Nothing that convicts the soul, nothing that warns sinners, nothing that espoused the fullness of Christ. I’m now asking God to help me find a decent church. God please help me.

The truth is, that as believers in Jesus, we should seek to find our completeness and fullness in Christ, and that usually takes time because truly Christianity is a journey… And I was taught to try and see where I could be a blessing to wherever I end up just got a really clearly shows it’s not the right church… There’s so many choices here in America… And where we live in our communities… But that was what I was taught and I have failed a great great deal… Every church is going to have problems… I bet there’s personalities there a johns church that rub people the wrong way… It never fails… Satan in the flesh or alive and well in these places pets for it it’s just the soul during the warfare we have to live With as his believers…

So well put, I totally agree. In my profession as in many others, those that “rise to the top” are elected into their college of “fellows”. If there was such a thing in the ministry (and it’s good that there isn’t) John MacArthur would have been nominated decades ago.

Johnny Mac is definitely the best pastor on the planet. I put utube on the minute I can and listen all day long. His whole approach is so unique and so easy to listen and pay attention to all. John is human and for sure one thing I do know that when our Lord Jesus Christ calls him home the angels will be rejoicing but we won't but it has to happen one very sad day for all us listeners. 😭😭😭😭

Isn’t it sad that God doesn’t love us as much as he loved the ancient Saints! He called prophets for them. He gave them revelations to help guide their lives. Sure we have a record of what was said and revealed in ancient days to them, but He doesn’t love us enough to give us modern revelation. Where does this guy get his authority? Certainly not from reading ancient Jewish writings or from going to seminary. That’s not how John the Baptist had power to baptist Christ. Abraham didn’t receive authority from reading ancient records. That just sounds silly. Wouldn’t you think that God would actually bestow His authority on those He chooses?

Was having a theological crisis this evening. Thanks Pastor John and Ligonier!

When I first heard John Macarthur his sermon terrified me. I felt that if God was in complete control of even salvation then I was in trouble and not chosen. Since I've had what I call my come to Jesus meeting I now find great comfort in John Macarthur sermons. If salvation was left up to us none of us would be saved.

Powerful message. I shared this on Facebook. Praise the One True God. His word alone is the source of divine truth.

John lifts the word of God up and when you do this you lift up Christ. Jesus said, If I will be lifted up I will draw all men unto me.

An absolutely incredible sermon ❤️

I love being able to listen here on KZread as many times as I need or want to so as not to miss anything. I have been reading his books since the early 90s, hearing him on the radio as long, watching GTY TV on Sunday, downloading and printing his sermons for 10 years and now I am able to hear on KZread. Thanks be to God for this wonderful exposure to His Truth presented clearly and succinctly by this man of God. I love God's Word and I love the preached Word!

Larry Kong’s comments ,” I wish I could believe what you believe .” is very true that salvation is not our will or effort but sovereignty of God . As long as God gave him ,” a spirit of stupor “ ( Romans 11:8 ) he couldn’t believe . His wife was devoted Mormon who joined the Book of Mormon Reader project who listed 100 coolest LSD women alive today . Her stronghold probably hindering for him to find the narrow gate . I have a friend who is brilliant engineer and he told me once that he doesn’t understand what I was talking about while I shared with him Romans 8. More we know God’s grace , more grateful for our salvation . It took me 6 years to hear gospel messages before I turned to God . Pastor John is in my prayers that God gives him a good health to carry on his assignment to whole world in this uncertain generation .

Nobody knows if the changing universe(s) is eternal or was created. Our big bang is the expansion of existing matter, not the creation of new matter from nothing. Nobody knows the details. It’s beyond brilliant, it is a Holy message

This is an utterly amazing sermon/teaching. I've never heard a message with such substance and power that it even brought me to tears. Tears of amazement for all that Jesus did for us on the cross and how he perfectly fulfilled Isaiah 53. I intend to listen to this message/teaching many, many times--to just try to absorb the thruth in this one hour and 2 minutes message. Pastor MacArthur, thank you for delivering a message/teaching that absolutely floored me. May God abundantly bless you for not only for this message, but for your service as a slave to Jesus Christ for your 40 -45 years of service?

@@arnoldmeiring7710 Shocking! But Mac Arthur has a strong Church that holds him accountable! Ravi was a loner, most of his ministry was traveling, his wife must have had suspicions, but ignored, as did his ministry, Indian culture? A secretive man, while Mac Arthur transparent for decades! Ravi's teaching of Bible was excellent, not FALSE, his personal life was deceptive! Very depressing he got away with all that filth for so long! I never had the smallest hint Ravi was EVIL! You have a right to not TRUST, do you listen to any teachers? I do as I would not trust myself being a loner.

In my profession as in many others, those that “rise to the top” are elected into their college of “fellows”. If there was such a thing in the ministry (and it’s good that there isn’t) John MacArthur would have been nominated decades ago.

Like or not like JM...he is extremely consistent in ONE view...high view of scripture and that is the foundation of his ministry. now, ask yourself in whatever sphere of ministry any problems and almost always it will come back to a leader who does not have a high view of scripture which is seen in method or application of ministry. if you truly believe in a high view of scripture, especially in apologetic ministry, you will reason within the scriptures and not get tangential like so many do. you believe what the bible says about God, man and life. it is not to be capitulated...an unbeliever has no power to get outside of his relationship to God, one he doesnt he know exists, that he is under Adam and God's wrath...he indeed is in relationship to God! If he is called, let the Word work through the Spirit...yet most apologetics capitulate in method and reason. Why? The minister has a low view of scripture in method! He might agree in worship, but in method, throws the baby out with the bathwater...happens all the time.

If you guys are so convinced that the Bible is perfect, that it hasn’t been alter by men without God’s authority, that every book in the Bible is in its proper God-given order and that every book that should have been included is included and those that are not, God did not want them included.....why aren’t you all Catholics? I mean, if you are going to take a staunch stand that the Bible is perfect as is, that there are no longer prophets that commune with God today, that God said everything some 2,000 years ago that needed saying, how can you be anything but Catholic?

Scripture is as sweet as honey. Taste and you will see. Knowing his scripture in my heart. He has written it in my heart. Jesus is LORD. HE HOLDS THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS. THE TRUTH.

This man reminds me of Isaac Newton’s “prophesy” of the end times, where men would rise snd proclaim the holy scriptures as the absolute and literal truth, the prophesies decreed on them to be faithful , coming to pass as written in the BIBLE, in the face of many who will oppose them
