This is one of the most beautiful songs ever. The chord progressions and voicings are legendary on their own. The feel, the vibe, the quality, the lyrics and the voice are transcendent. It's a masterpiece and will stand the test of time.

After so many years of just repeating the lyrics, actually understanding the message as an adult can really bring tears to the eyes bc almost all of these scenarios are relatable, fortunately or unfortunately. What about disability?

This song was involved in so many beautiful memories in our relationship... I ended up hurting the love of my life and she ended things. I'm respectfully giving her all of the space she needs to heal and to grow and in the meantime, I'm working on learning this on the piano and hope to be able to sing and play at the same time. I'm pouring all of my heart and soul into doing this for her because the lyrics truly capture not only how I feel, but also what's happened in our relationship and how we could fix things... I hope that I'll be able to surprise her later this summer and speak straight to her heart from my heart through this song. Please wish me luck, everyone. She has been my best friend for half a decade and a life without her in it would be hollow.

Robert Magat Of course there is a basis of comparison, it's by the same artist and it has the theme of love. All of me has a four chord structure which can be boring to listen to after a while. I liked it when I first heard it but got sick of it after a few times. Whereas this song has a more interesting structure with specific lyrics and more passion. I know All of Me is about Chrissy Teigen but look at the lyrics, he never mentions what it is about her that captivated him. That song could be about any woman in the world. This does not discount the fact that writing a song for your wife is a very sweet gesture and good for him for doing it.

Beautifully written and performed! This song reminds me of life in general...we often rush through life when the time we’re allowed is so minimal. Depending on how we live time will always pass. Maybe if I, you, or we take things a bit slower we can actually see “the forest through the trees” or grasp ahold of what’s important. What’s important is life...and life is a privilege! Let's be honest here. I feel for your loss. Cancer does its thing and it destroys that which we love. Remember that it is man-made. It is a by-product of pollution and nasty chemicals that pass through our system which allow us to eat them for cheap. I think the problem is deeper, and all the companies looking for cures and all that are weak because they continue to allow for companies to pollute our water, mess with our food, and just come up with "cures" so that our loved ones can just survive and get sick and then get better, instead of just eliminating the problem, which is abuse of our humanity. God bless young sister, I hope you can make it through.

This song came out when I was 15-16 years old and now I'm 33 years old. This is one of my favorite songs when it came out. I use to know the lyrics by heart but not no more. I only know bits n pieces of this song. This song speaks on many levels of how I departed from my family. I am ordinary but taking things slow doesn't work well in my family
