Sade is more Latin jazz which is not the blues. People like you come on this site just to argue, when you have no foundation of what you're talkin about. You're arguing the difference between apples and oranges. They're not the same style. That's like comparing Eddie Van Halen to B.B.. King You can't if you truly love music. They are two different styles. But if you really truly knew about music you would like all music and not just one type of music from one type of people. You go through life with a narrow view of music and you miss a lot of beautiful music. And you need to do something about that need to be self-righteous. Let go move on.

    What a flashback, I met both Carlos and John Lee doing backstage security, at the Magic is BACK concert , Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. John Lee hooked me up with ladies, Carlos gave me a pack of Marlboro to hold me up tell I could get a moment to break away. Very nice people. And the party I got invited to after the concert was fricken bitchen. Love the memory's.

    I could be wrong (I often am), but I think that was a typo for "death threat." A truly scary interpretation of the song, and one I see no support for in lyrics or music... UNLESS maybe that sudden drum slap out of the dead silence is sposedta sound like a gunshot???

    I got to see John Lee at the Fillmore in 1997. The show was supposed to be Booker T's band backing John lee, but Booker had a family emergency and had to leave town. Carlos filled in for him. It's one of the top three shows I was at!

    First heard Mr. John on Hooker and Heat. What a great album. Canned Heat took a back seat to the legend. That made the album shine. Boogie Chillen; just a masterpiece. Carlos compliments him superbly
