One of the best. Should've been a much larger figure in rock music, but unfortunately overshadowed by a lot of his peers. He was one of those guys whose timbre is just unmistakable. Rest In Peace, top man.

Saw Heep with John in 77 on the Firefly tour. He was a fantastic singer! In my umble opinion, better than D.B. RIP John and thanks for the memories!

I know Byron was the original singer and epic, but I share your opinion too.. He was really fantastic singer, few people understand it.

I ALWAYS THOUGHT JOHN FROM LUCIFERS FRIEND WOULD OF BEEN A GOOD SINGER FOR URIAHEEP. I LISTENED TO JOHN ON URIAHEEP ALBUMS FOR 25 YEARS. NOT EVEN KNOWING JOHN ACTUALLY WAS THE SINGER ON THOSE ALBUMS. CRAZY.
