I've always wondered: WHY doesn't a show like "The Office" or "Insert your favorite show here" just stay together; full cast, same writers, same producers and make an ENTIRELY new show with all the same talent but whole new characters and story? I'd love to see what Carrell, Wilson, Krasinski and the whole gang would do together elsewhere. We all know shows run their course. The only options today seem to be: A) Run the show til it becomes horrible and is cancelled. or B) End the show and everyone involved disbands So I propose and option C! ---Make a new show while all the writers and producers and actors are so comfortable and happy!!! This is kinda what makes being a male fan of the office really weird xd

In a parallel universe, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer fall in love after years on The Office, and the whole world celebrates their love. But. They're both happy in this universe with their significant others' and made a fantastic show with their professional chemistry. So no complaints here.

My dad's friend makes broadway shows, and about a month before John auditioned for the office, he auditioned for our family friend's play and was rejected. It's weird to think that if they hadn't rejected him, he probably wouldn't have ended up as Jim.

Honestly, if I were the executive producer, that would make me want him to be a cast member even more. To have an actor be so worried about not living up to the previous work seems to make them more motivated to really give it their all.

i can't imagine working so many long days for so many years pretending to be in love with someone and NOT actually falling in love with them.

Jim and Pam were two peas in a pod. They even looked alike. I just loved it when Jim looked into the camera with that goofy smile.

Jim is doing a really good job at playing this John guy, good job Jim! lol

Their energies on the show matched so well and made for wonderful television. I'm glad they both got the part.

Jenna and John were like the work spouses that were meant to happen.

Krasinski and Fischer don't seem any different in real life vs the show. that's interesting to me. amazing how film works like that

Joker StopMotion films maybe they broke it off because it’s different for people seeing a person x amount of time already. Like at work, then you get off work and you see them etc. They could just be different personality’s outside of work so there’s that. Either way, John’s with Emily Blunt so there’s that.

Tablo 13 They can’t of though. Season 4 and 5 were 2008 and 2009, Emily and John were dating in 2008 and got married in 2010. Jenna was married in 2008, got divorced, met her husband in 2009 and then got married again in 2010. If they were together in any part of this timeline, it would be cheating. And the public wouldn’t be told considering they would be cheating!

I love that the office cast honestly just feel like they were right for the parts like i know it's maybe because i've seen the show but i find it hard to see anyone else in those roles that would have worked that well or just fit into place like so

He was freely taking about it before marriage even though Jenna was married. But after marriage he down plays everything. I remember there is a panel discussion with Andy rictor or someone who is in conan's show where he said its 100% writing nothing else it was around 2009. He himself knew he was not accurate or speaking from his heart, he talks different now, lost his old charm.

One of the reasons I clung on to the show was just because of Pam & Jim's chemistry and what they were able to bring out on the screen.

They should make a spin off about Jim and Pam’s life after they move to Austin at the end

I have watched many couples on tv and off. I have never experienced a fictional couple that were so natural and realistic as John and Jenna on the Office. I have seen many couples that are very good such as Outlander's great duo but there is something about Pam and Jim that go beyond fiction. I know they are both happily married and good for them. But even in their interviews they have a connection that is apparent. But of course they are both so down to earth , humble and real that they are very similar to Jim and Pam offscreen!

Great interview. Funny as, for me, John's fears to have a watered down version of the UK show was exactly how I saw the first season. I watched the UK version first, then watched the first season of the USA show and found it really lame. Some episodes were sometime line per line copy and paste of the original show. I almost gave up but people told me that it would change in season and... damned it did! I am not almost done with season 5 and I am extremely glad I stuck with the show! When The Office US tries to replicate the UK version, it is really bad and looks like a poor copy. But when it does its own thing, it is a marvelous show! I would suggest anyone that started with the UK version to simply skip the US first season, as they do not really need character introductions anyway, as they already know them from the UK version.

These interviews are great. Who is this guy (the interviewer)?

This interviews are so much better than your average late night show interviews with the host trying to interrupt the guest to make a stupid joke on every single time

I'm sure the Executive Producer not only appreciated that someone cared about the show (and was auditioning to be part of the US version), but he also realized that was such a "Jim" attitude to have. The audition probably helped too.

To be fair, John is kinda right about American sensibilities toward British based shows, and being a big fan of the UK version of The Office, I was reluctant to even consider watching it, and in my mind there was no way the infamous 'Michael Scott' I'd heard so much about compare to 'David Brent'. I recently started watching the US show and soooo happy to be proven wrong, and though far fetched at times, so much better than the original. Now it's become one of my favourite shows ever!
