What would you give his wave with an air reverse and snap ? Maybe a 6.5 tops ?

@@mathdavies9546 relative to John’s 6.83? Yes absolutely. Also considering they gave McGillivray a 5.60 for the same maneuver, minus the snap later in the heat. Also his wave at 5:30 was easily comparable to McGillivray’s 4.5, and they scored it less than his second wave score of 3.5.

I agree in my area Surfline always says it's bigger and better than it is. I use magicseaweed instead they are spot on.

Yeah that carve around 5:00 was so clean. I thought he was underscored on that wave, but maybe because of wave size. I was rooting for Kolohe to make the heat, but Matty deserved it.
