I was blessed to work as a volunteer at the Ameritech Senior Open at Kemper Lakes outside of Chicago back in the 90s. While serving duty in the clubhouse, John Jacobs came in after one round and he had autographed a golf ball and handed it to me saying " the ink is still wet". I still have that ball sitting on my desk. John could drive the ball a long way. McCord also worked as an announcer at the tournament.
