Mr.King,I am a terminally ill gal and I don't know if you will ever get this message, 55 years old/young,lol,now but when I was growing up in two abusive families abused every way I wrote to you,not letting them know of course what I was writing, basically what was happening to me and thanking you for your books as they got me temporarily out of my real terror, and you sent me a reply and a couple of books.I just wanted you to know what that did for me as I broke down shaking and sobbing because as such a busy author you chose to care when you didn't know me when everyone else used me for their issues, it was the first real time I felt like a person, thank you so very much and I TRULY hope and pray you are blessed and happy as well as all you love and all you out there as well!!!!You will ALWAYS be my favorite author and one of the greatest human beings and soul to me,thank you!!🌈⚘🏵🌼🌺🌻🌹🥀💗👍❤👾🧚♂️👽
You're the reason I became a writer Stephen! Took me over 30 years to finally finish my debut novel, but I did it and it came out April 3rd. It's fantasy but I would say your books were the biggest influence on the writing and the SUSPENSE which you're a master of. It's called The Vanguards of Scion. It's doing pretty good so far, maybe someday it will get big enough for you to read it. :)

Congratulations on completing your book. It is a battle, a war to be constantly fought, it is never truly won; but only lost once you give up. There is no finish line, only the thrill of the race. May yours never end. Best of everything.

About to start the dragon maker!
Tomorrow I’m going to start my Stephen King marathon, starting with Carrie, going through all his books in publication order. Can’t wait :-) would love to do the same with Grisham one day. Love the books I’ve read by him.

Carrie, Salem's Lot, Shining, Blaze (RB), Dolores Claireborne. Those were his first five (not in publication order but as in written order, says in afterword of D.C.). Rage (out of print, for good reason) Thinner, Road Work, Long Walk, Running Man as Richard Bachman. 50, 25 bucks? Barnes and Noble sells Carrie, Salems, and Shing in one

Little late to the party haha but I did pause and zoom in a bit. The first passage on the left-hand side contains what looks to be the name "Billy" -- the timeline does fit...perhaps King was still composing "Billy Summers" at this time 🖊 ✌
These guys are legend. Two of my favorite.
Mr. King seems to have as much respect for his contemporaries as any author can.
Thank you from a constant reader since the seventies.
I enjoyed the conversation between these two writers. They are so personable and were very interesting.
I'm disabled now and can't get out. I really miss rummaging around a bookstore. When I worked on payday after lunch with my now ex I headed to my favorite bookstore and I'd be there for a couple hours. Love your talks. Thanks for the many, many, many, many years of entertainment and enjoyment. I read my first SK book in highschool 198? and I never stopped. Also my 30 yr old son is named Stephen.
Stephen King, your writing chops are incredible. I got more out of an introduction you wrote to a BEST AMERICAN volume than entire books by others. 🌱

What a treat seeing these two great writers in an informal conversation venue. Reading both authors at the moment. Hey Stephen, If It Bleeds kept me awake last night . . . happily so.
It's amazing! My two favourite authors in conversation... but King is in first place!! I love him, I read all his books :-) Cheers from Italy
This made my day. I love listening to these guys talk about the writing process.

The Green Mile 9. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. I am still reading from my dads small collection of Stephen King Novels.

I miss the mall bookstores: B.Dalton and Waldenbooks. I would look at the latest Stephen King books through the 80s. I loved the feel of those stores the best, you can pop in and browse easily.

Yeah, those were cool. My favorite book store was a small little book store on the main street of the town I lived in. It was a one story house that was converted into a book store. It had mostly used books but it would have some new books. I got most of my Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton and John Grisham books from there when I was in high school. I miss that place. I moved away from that town after high school. Thankfully the places I moved to later all had a Barnes & Noble very close to me but those aren't the same. I still have like a dozen bookmarks from that store.

Did not find the bookstore here in my new town until a month before it closed. No Stephen King books, but they did have The Book of Reuben by Tabitha King, which I did buy and enjoy.
I didn't know he had a channel, thanks Hodder!
I've only read The Dead Zone but it motivated me after years of writers block. To finish my 4th book.
Thank you so much for your book "How to Write Books". I recently read it and it helped me to write my own more consciously :)
BEAUTIFUL!
I have been a huge SK fan for years ( at least 25 ) and have almost all the books have read the all (some more than once) also have a bunch on kindle also my son is a huge fan of JP The minute a new book comes out he has to have it We swap so we can read both Love both your works Hope you are staying safe
That was wonderful.
I loved Insomnia! I've been wanting to read it again.
Wow. I just realized Stephen King might read these words! Thanks for all your fine work :D
I love the add page ( the list of books) that’s how I keep up with your books in order
King must be fed up with people mentioning The Stand by now. And yet, here I am. Lol.
I'm an aspiring writer myself and as Kevin Smith once said the most important thing to focus on is getting it done not whether it sells or is a success and that's what I'm focused on.
the fun thing about those "ad cards" of previous books written, was that in the old days before we had internet, that was one of the few places you could find information about what else a guy had written. same with bands and their discographies .... you read the inlay booklet etc. only way to find info pretty much ... in the old days.

You know what Stevie, I'd love to see you in Hershey Pennsylvania, I live in a very small town called McClure in Pennsylvania, and I don't get to see many people around, Hershey is the only place I know that there are plenty of "celebrities" coming around like Bon Jovi and Jeff Dunham. I would love to see you around Hershey If you tour again!
I look up to Stephen king, i like his work. I love the horror genre and I’m an inspiring writer. I have so many writings in notebooks and papers. I really wanna get into the horror business. You inspired me king ! I love the horror genre !

The ad card. SK I've never heard that term. JG It makes me smile and laugh to listen to two authors talk about parts of a book they don't know about. 🤣🤣 I love this stream, thank you gentleman, would love to see more of this.
Two legends
Both great writers. I follow in the steps of Grisham. I outline, and unlike how King's perception of outlining is like opening your Xmas presents before it's time. I see outlining as a movie or book trailer. Where I have the scenes and movement of the plot. It's motivating. And I hate getting stuck on a plot and have to go back and change it because I didn't outline.
I love a good book store but so often they do not have a particular title I am looking for so I'd be just as quick as ordering it myself plus so often buying online is often cheaper too.
Mr. King if you see this comment, how about another Christine movie.....y'all come with the likes and lets see what we can come up with... maybe he will think about it.........😁😁😁😁😁
Legitimately two People out of the top ten writers of our times!!!!
Hearing Stephen King talk about his wife is adorable. :D
My favorite is insommnia, I loved Ralph, I read it at least four times. A time to kill made me cry but I loved the ending. Great book! Stephen, I have always wished you would write a story about Coffy, how old he was , where he came from, his life as a boy. On a darker note, do you feel like The Stand is coming to life ? I have been a fan of you and John for many years, thank you both for many hours of entertainment. I'm not a writer so excuse my punctuation.

Screenwriters say that one must have the end of your story first. But stories become alive after awhile and then it tells it self.

Live long & prosper for may the King boldly go where no other writer has gone. Let there be voyages in the universe of creative thought. And warp speed the brain engine. For they are the men of the text filled enterprises.

Have t read Grisham since he testified before legislator to have sentences lowered on having child pornography on a private computer. His friend was put in prison for having child pornography in his home and Grisham felt the sentencing too harsh.
