This is a great way to look at how trust on immediate relationship levels can have an effect on larger communities, or even a whole country. Great video!

I don't really know about this guy. But I enjoy him and his perspective on things, I hope he makes a Ted talk speech ASAP.

The fact that this has only 13K views says much about our awareness of ourselves, when things like Gangnam Style gets hundreds of millions.

Yup. I see it everywhere. Communities are happier when there is less discrepancy between the rich and the poor. As more wealthy people move into cottage country where i live, ive seen a huge increase in the number of properties with fences. If the rich lent a helping hand (or in the very least didnt exploit the working poor, they wouldnt need to buy a fence to keep others out.

Main result of universities studying trust will be as always development of new ways to exploit trust. What strengthens trust is following rules instead of higher rate of return by using every possible manipulative tactic to gain "trust" of consumer. After training as telemarketer I will never talk with one.

it may be good for us, and thank goodness it is, but of course that doesn't help the problem... it's just good for the morale of those of us that DO care about others. to spread pro-social sentiment, however, we need to be strong in our support and empathy for others who are insecure and fearful - we need to employ protective strength to stop divisive and hostile politics, and stand behind the value of the common good and the virtues of living by ethical principles...
