Goddamn. Imagine John Frusciante calling you out of the blue on your cell phone AND asking if you wanna hang out. That's crazy.

so interesting to hear this clip because the released version doesn't have the vocal part at the end like in this clip. I really like it here to be honest wish they kept it. it sounds very Robert Plant-esq

Frusciante= Cicatriz Flea = Drunkship Of Lanterns (But he plays on all the tracks on the first record)

I'm a Mars Volta fan foremost, but I do like RHCP also. The first song with Cedric singing is "Drunkship of Lanterns". The first clip of Flea playing is "Roulette Dares (The Haunt of)". The bit with the amazing double guitar solo is "Cicatriz ESP" (I think that's the take they used on the actual album!). John and Omar also used that silver-looking Doepfer A100 Modular synth for Cicatriz ESP for the really spacey sounds and you can hear it on John's solo track "Carvel". The last song you hear with Flea is "Inertiatic ESP". Amazing album but so are all of The Mars Volta's records... Flea plays on every track on De-loused in the Comatorium and also trumpet on their 2nd album Frances the Mute. John Frusciante plays on almost all of the Mars Volta albums, doubling guitars, and some solos, except Noctourniquet and the new self-titled one.

@@blurstblurstblurst6635 thank you very much for your explanation and detailed information. I’m with Federico though, RHCP first and The Mars Volta in second place. Having said that, I’m a fairly new fan of TMV and have much to explore & discover, so my rating could change in future.
