@blackblurable
Жыл бұрын
Nervous? Lol nah he’s got ice in his veins. Dude has sold out arenas around the world. I doubt playing in front of some old guy that most people don’t even know existed would be hard to play in front of. At least for John. He’s come a long way. I admire he was able to get sober. I can’t seem to break the vicious cycle. Suicides messed me up too and I’m lucky to be alive let alone not be paralyzed from the neck down. Playing for me is a bit rough but I enjoy it
@xBamf4Lifex

@@blackblurable You'd be surprised how much performing in a more intimate setting can have an effect on your nerves. With those huge crowds, you dont really see their faces or have to talk to them so there's not much of a personal connection. I'm speaking from experience (not that I've sold out arenas or anything near close) but I can for sure understand the feeling.

@MP13 you'd be surprised how much not playing consistently the last 13 years will affect anyone, never mind when those arms are put together after being destroyed. It might be nerves but dudes arms were destroyed and then stopped being used for the instrument for over a decade.

The greatest thing about John Frusciante is how he continues to re-learn the guitar after every break. When he left in the early 90s he lost all of his ability and the player we got on Californication was no where near as technically good but his song writing ability was still there so we got simple but melodic guitar parts and gradually he got it back and by the time Stadium Arcadium came round he wasn't quite as good as he was on MM and BSSM but he was damn near close, and now with another period off you can tell he is having to build back up again.

Freddie King, Eddie Hazel, and I never really drew the connection until recent albums, but also Gilmour. Can easily draw the line from David Gilmour back to Freddie King. But rock and roll guitar..and not forgetting Jimi, John Frusciante is a beautiful guitar player, musician, songwriter and lyricist. He's a pretty damn good singer too! One of my favorite things about John is that he wears his influences on his sleeve and will openly talk about them all day. You don't get that with a lot of people, they like to hide their influence even though it's plain as day.

Man that was a time in my life I am still thankful for but wanting more. Do it John. Go on a solo tour too before I die.

The point of music isn't to be the best and most technical musician. The point of music is self expression and if it sounds good to YOU then that's all that matters. People take who is the best way too seriously. It doesn't matter how good you are if no one likes your songs.

@stvn9728 Жыл бұрын
Ok this is going to be a bit hard to understand if your not a guitar player, but very few have that “switch” where you can tap into just something special both melodically and Feel wise. Fruscante is some one who just innately has that ability. Just naturally there’s players who can turn it in some nights this guy can do it at will it’s insane but it’s so funny because for the most part he’s a simplistic guitarist with a simplistic approach but he does have that Technical edge as well it’s insane not many Guitarists have this and even world class guitarists I’m referring to

@@asinine7545 yeah, there would BE a debate. I mean, first of all, we'd all have to agree on what the parameters are for what constitutes the quote "best guitar player" or to be "among them." There _wouldn't even be a consensus on the method of evaluation_ let alone which players to include on the list. I could say Christopher Parkening can do things on the guitar that most rock players wouldnt even know where to begin to attempt to mimic. And most people would say "who's christopher parkening?" And I'm sure there's things that Hendrix could do that Parkening can not. So how do we even come to an agreement on the method of measure let alone the players? And how *big* is this "among them" group you propose? Because if you just make the group large enough, then yeah, you can water down the list. Fruciante is a fine player. I've liked the RHCP. There's lots of players I think are fun to listen to and have done some really cool stuff that I wouldnt put in my list of greatest ever. So, yeah, there can be a _legitimate_ debate about *ANY* list of *ANY* "greatest ever" conversation from athletes, to musicians, to actors and beyond.

I just saw this man live for the forst time. I was in awe. No he doesnt play wild shreddy solos like Paul Gilber or Malmsteen (Im a huge fan of both btw not bagging on them at all) but i got so many goosebumps seeing him play. such feeling in gis playing man.

It's not about who is technically better...the point of music is to enjoy it. If it sounds good, it's good. That's it.
I could listen for hours and hours to John playing his guitar. Just the instrumentals alone. He can sing beautifully, but his guitar playing speaks more words without him songing. You can feel his emotions through the sounds he plays.
Not sure it's possible for me to love him anymore than I have for the past 32 years. (。♡‿♡。)
O homi eh brabo demais 🤩🎸🔥
Love it. Love music and love feeling things like this. Thanks John for being here! :)
John has come such a long way he was definitely one of the lucky ones that got out while he did he literally was on deaths door looking back when he was deep in his addiction. Ps he's still my teenage crush from today 😍

Biiiggg Eddie Hazel vibes here.
He's so versatile John can blend in seamlessly with the band like in Aquatic Mouth Dance with such a subtlety funky riff, or take over like in Eddie. Just bring gorgeous delicate melodies like Scar Tissue or Zephyr Song, beautiful chord progressions like Wet Sand and Under The Bridge. Or just Rock that parties like a pop song in Dani California or Charlie. Not to even mention his solo stuff! Never known a guitarist with so many voices
This man catches my soul sounds. What a genius.
This is the new bedroom lick
That's what I love about John...He plays exactly how he feels and just expresses it through guitar... Edit: check out his two note inventions everyone.

Can tell he is nervous based on the quiver in his fretting fingers. Who else loves that he is so down to earth that hell play solo in front of millions not having 100 percent confidence? Thats how you know he is a real human like us.

@MP13 you'd be surprised how much not playing consistently the last 13 years will affect anyone, never mind when those arms are put together after being destroyed. He literally wears patches that help hold his skin grafted skin sturdy and moisturize them. Look at his arms on tour.

I don't even care if he stops playing with them again. That Unlimited Love album was so fuckin awesome that I am satisfied with the Peppers. I am really itching though to catch another wave of John music like in 2004-2005 when he dropped Curtains, Inside Emptiness, Shadows Collide and ALL OF THAT good shit.
Chilling on the chair, the host just had a private concert from John Frusciante right in front of him, comfortably numb
Ok this is going to be a bit hard to understand if your not a guitar player, but very few have that “switch” where you can tap into just something special both melodically and Feel wise. Fruscante is some one who just innately has that ability. Just naturally there’s players who can turn it in some nights this guy can do it at will it’s insane but it’s so funny because for the most part he’s a simplistic guitarist with a simplistic approach but he does have that Technical edge as well it’s insane not many Guitarists have this and even world class guitarists I’m referring to
He’s such a special musician
