One of best songs, and I have listened to radio for 52 years
@larsvontrio

My favorite for sure. I used to try and get a record deal with my band and a couple of friends’ bands. Clive Davis spirited a couple of them away to L.A., where jingle music awaited. I became the man from the magazine for a while. I’ve recently taken a five year break from playing keys and singing. But the new Dolly Parton album has made me want hit the nearest jam night and belt out some good old rock covers. Lodi is a good choice because I know the words by heart, and it’s plaintive in a way that suits piano or Rhodes with some fake B3 on top, lol. “If I only had a dollar for every song I’ve sung” I estimate I’d have about $220 if I’m counting separate compositions and about $13,700 if counting times I’ve jammed or performed some tune on my own or with a band but all the way to the end. Jeez, I sound autistic now. Fogerty rules!.

+john meyer I agree. He doesnt make senseless solos, running through scales just playing as many notes as he can. You can see this in songs like Suzie Q or Heard it through the grapevine, every note has a relation with the harmony and the melody. They explain the same history as his voice; you can only do this when you master the instrument. Many guitar players just play notes which fit into the chords; this can be done by anyone but they cant sing with the guitar.

John fogerty rules 🎺🎼🎵♥️ that's a real nice paint job on the red guitar by David Staudohar 🎥🎞️🎞️🎞️ John was one of the best customers I ever had ‼️
Such an underrated musician, ccr was one of the most influential bands of all time.
I loved this song in my high school. We danced along this song. Still love C.C.R!
John Fogerty as of his best side of giving a great gig! Awesome!
Man,he sounded great as usual...😮
Thank you John Great influence in my life.
Every time I drive through Lodi, California I play this song.
A song to my heart!! Love it so much!!!!
beautiful song! great singer!
How old is he now? And look people....he can sing, and he can play that Telecaster and he doesn't need a bunch of smoke, and dancers, and all sorts of crazy shit! He just lets the music be it's own stage show!
Love CCR
Saw this guy live 10 or 11 years ago and it was one of the loudest shows I've ever been at. I don't know if it was on purpose or if they didn't dial it in right going from a stadium to an arena but John's amps were set at 11 that night.
Great song, great great great, and good new rithm, EXELLENT JOHN
John Fogerty, one of the most recignized singer and guitarist in Japan!
Yep..love CCR and John ...so cool.... =))
Had all CCR had out on 8 track, cruising all night even by myself listening to CCR in my 63 Impala SS, 2 door hard top. Then I'd put it back in storage and go back to Nam. Still those were the days my friend!
