John Field's music deserves to be more widely known and played. The performance, the instrument and the sound here are wonderful. Thank you for posting!
John Field is the singular composer to compare with Mozart in style and form. His concertos are a joy of listening.
I’m imagining wind and brass parts in my head for what was already nearly complete when it was presumably orphaned from the Second Concerto.
What a pity that these performers didn't commit more John Field concertos to disc.
It's similar to Chopin.

Chopin admired him... When Chopin was still learning, Field was already a famous pianist and composer.
