John Deere x310 changed over to snowthrower
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
The X310 was bought this spring, with a mind towards year-round use. The mower deck is off here, and I walk around and show off the snow thrower features and details. To see this setup in action, I have a video here: • Snow removal with x310...

Thank you for the JD snowblower video. I have a x325 and I want to buy a snowblower for it this summer. Seeing how you hook yours up and comments really help my curious mind on how things work under there. I hope before long I'll be finding out first hand. Thanks again.

Just be aware, it is massively heavy. As I get older, I use a front end loader to move it around.

Oh dear. Good tip. I had not really thought about that aspect. I'll have to set up a perm spot in the barn where I can put it and it stays till winter comes along. Thanks.
I also purchased the X310 with snowblower about 6 months ago. I live in Michigan. It replaced my 11 year old L120. I really like this Deere. It took me a while to get used to the control locations, but now that I've gotten the hang of it, I love it. The power steering and power lift are so nice. It has plently of power for blowing and manuevering in the snow. I know I made the right decision with the X310 and am sure it will go strong for many years.

+Greg Johnson I agree Greg! It's night and day over the L-series in every way.
Great video im thinking of getting one thank you for explaining the x310
I had the basic same setup as you, mine was an X300, The automatic lift for the snowblower/ mower is so much better. My problem was the rear tires were too small and the tractor would get stuck on ice. One real bad storm , I ended up having someone plow my drive for me. Performance wise, engine, etc., never had any issues. I now have an X540, this tractor is much better on ice and snow. I live near Bangor ME, so the winters are a bit more rugged and I have a slopping dirt driveway, 200+ feet long. Good luck with your new machine.

I think my own weight helps give traction to this. Agreed, it's a bit light, but with 4 suitcase weights, works okay.
Nice! Lots of Auto-Features that would make things easier in the snow for sure!

George, do those tire chains leave any marks on your asphalt driveway?

Not too bad. The bigger issues I see is chopping ice, and some of the asphalt specks stick to the driveway.
Will the front tires lift off the ground if you put the blower all the way down?

Not completely, but there is a little bit of lift. Its good for digging into the snow in tuff spots.
Out of Curiosity, what led you to produce this video?
