John Deere S790 - Installing vertical & horizontal unload augers.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video, We continue work on the trade in John Deere S790 and we are installing a new vertical auger and horizontal unloading augers. This machine has taken a beating from down corn and had a lot dirt ran through the machine. Vertical auger is absolutely smoked at only 505 separator hours. I show you how to install the vertical and properly time the augers together. #johndeere #johndeerecombine

I did a lot of training in a completely different field and passed on info that you could not have learned any other way. I would run into some of these people over the years and would be rewarded with them telling me how much more competent they had become because of what I had shown them. Josh is a lucky man.

Thanks again Zeth for the video. Where were you 40 years ago when I breaking my back on the tools, as I loved the adapted jack/lift you made for the vertical gearbox/auger. I really love techs that have your mindset to overcome these issues and make the job not only easier but safer. We also need more of your dog 🙂

We did the vertical and unloading augers a couple years ago on our 9670 STS. The Sloans guys from White Hall helped us with the vertical, they had a nice adapter we put on our cherry picker to help going back up and in. Not an easy job. We also later on ended up having to replace the turret pivot pieces and that isn't fun either. Definitely not looking forward to the day our S680 needs those done. Hats off to you boys for battling those machines day after day.

Thanks for another great video ZK. It was interesting and enjoyable and extremely informative. Wow. Lots of work getting all of the different sections apart. Heavy lifting parts for sure. Thanks for showing us how to time all of those pieces when going back together. Important info to know so everything works correctly. It is all of these setup items you need to know when putting it back together or you are in for trouble. Your teaching videos are so so so valuable to say the least. Saves you from a lot of time. Many thanks ZK. You and Josh do great together. Combines are not easy work. Feel like I saw and learned a lot off this video today. Just a little smarter-ha!!!!!! About it I guess. Brazing hot here in Iowa. Today is 98. Too much. You both take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything ZK. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Does JD have a refurbishment program for the augers? As long as the shaft and splines are good re-flighting them is a straight forward affair especially considering JD has the flighting.
