What an awesome piece of machinery that is. When manufacturers took pride in their work and things lasted forever. I love going to our local steam show and seeing old running machinery thats been around for 100 plus years. Thanks for walking us through this.

Very surprised any new tractors made in the war. Maybe very early '42? Our economy was in _total_ war mode with every factory producing war material. But great looking tractor. I'm sure you are proud.

My daddy had one of these old John Deer tractors. It’s the first tractor that I learned to start and drive on our farm. I just didn’t know what year the old tractor was. Your tractor is a perfectly identical to the one that I had to crank up I haven’t forgotten about those pet cocks to open up on both sides of the tracker to help relieve the compression so that it wouldn’t be so hard to crank it flywheel up by hand. 😎 May the lord bless you and your family too! Also remember that you should never wear long lose clothes when you are cranking the flywheel on your tractor 🚜 always try to be safe.

This tractor is in the last 600 produced before the switch.
