The GPS will be nice. It lets you pay more attention to things that are going on in stead of driving. You will want the RTK for planting and cutting hay. Had GPS for a number of years but it's not JD.

If you haven't really ran the guidance system, it will take a few fields to fully figure out the system. I would probably recommend having two displays if possible. Just in case you have issues with the planting tractor, you can swap out with the tillage tractor. Or swap or the one in the combine with the tillage tractor. We've been using the john deere system for 10 years or so. I'm sure the question of variable rate or row shutoffs will come up on the corn planter. A little over 10 years ago, it was $1,000 per row to install it from our local john deere dealer. Which raised the question of how much did we love our current planter at the time. Because $16-20,000 is a decent down payment to a newer planter that has it from factory, then my dad was thinking about a center fill planter instead of the individual boxes. The guidance system is one of the reasons why I upgraded my moco/conditioner/windrower, I went with one fully integrated instead of needing the atu. Let's just say my dad was to the age where he was getting tired of half turning around to cut hay with the pull type, so that's about when we got the first self propelled. I'm on the third Self-Propelled one now.

I have a question maybe someone can answer. On another channel, the operator of a JD combine turns the key on to start the machine but then delays a bit before engaging the starter. He also does this on his larger JD tractors. Is this really necessary or what is the purpose?
