Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

John Deere D120 Blades will not engage . This John Deere D120 would not engage the mower blades , because the blade brake was worn out and let the brake travel past the pulley and get wedged into the pulley . the brake pads were john deere GY21943. There may be a better way to install the blade brake . John deere mower blades not engaging . The engagement cable seems to work good on thid D120 john deere. Many John deere 100 series lawn tractors may have this issue. Lawn tractor repair . wtbm123

Great repair Terry, nothing like a mower failure when you need to mow.

Thank you so much for this video, Sir! My John Deere D105 had the same exact issue and I have been trying to figure it out why. I saw this and checked my brake thing and same. I ordered a new set and it arrived today, installed it and it's working 🫡

Helpful in understanding how that all works. It helped me to diagnose what was going on with mine. I avoided having to get a trailer and tow to a repair shop that has a 14 lead time, because of this video. Thanks!

Saved me hauling the mower to the shop! Very helpful instructions and easy to follow along to fix. My issue was the bushing was missing on the brake arm - that is an important part! Without the bushing the brake arm cant move :) THanks again for your helpful video!

@@wtbm123 Report from son, who was going to finish it up last night was that the blade pulley under the left foot when you're sitting on the tractor was bound up with stuff on the underside caked on from last fall (I know, I should have flipped it over!). He also had to mess around with the spring which engaged the brakes. Lastly, he had to loosen the bolt holding the tensioning pulley that the PTO spring is attached to and lubricate under that. He ran out of sunlight and was going to slip the deck under the tractor and see if the blades spun today. So far no word, so he might be out cutting his lawn. It was his mower and he liked your video as well! Thanks!

Well done terry, a bit of a pain to do but worth the time 😀 Pity that J.D didn't add two pins to the deck to stop the brake arms going too far, the pad would of worn out but no metal to metal damage. Ooow of cause ha ha, J.D would not get the money from after sales replacement parts!.

Good video, but I don't know what you loosened and then tightened under the right pully which seemed to be attached to the pully break pad. You used an extension on your socket to get at the nut or bolt. I kept thinking that it would have been helpful if you had taken off the pully to show what it was you loosened and then tightened. Good commentary and otherwise easy to follow. Thanks!
