I really like the 8rx series😁👍 I can't believe the 8rx got introduced in 2019, it feels like yesterday that deere started to produce them😉👍 thanks for the video👍👍
Wow as a spectator I always wondered how the operator maintained such a perfect line ! I love to watch the farmers and equipment getting it done ! Much respect for the farmers and their hard work Thanks for a great informative video
It’s hard to believe it’s that time of the year already!! Really nice setup they there between the tractor and the planter. I noticed his Helena Ag hat. They have a few locations here in PA. Pretty big company. Thanks for a great video Jason!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Such an awesome setup! Had a neighbour run something similar last fall, and we were all drooling over it haha
Thanks Jason for this video Its amazing how far technology has come over the years .thank for all the information you provide including the price tag of the tractor it's amazing that the tractor steers itself. Thank you jason for all the hard work you do to bring these videos to you tube
Fantastic video. Amazing technology and something to see that big planter get road ready so quickly.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing. Always interesting and educational.
Great video 👍
Awesome Video!!
Great video! The JD 8RX is my favorite tractor. Interesting to see the liquid fertilizer going in.
It's always good to hear from the operator. Great planting team. Still wet here in Northeast Ohio. Gotten about 4" rain in the last 10 days.

Thanks for the video, super🔝🔝🔝Very good equipment👍🏻🇮🇹🇺🇸
Thanks, Jason great video as always. I love all the extra details the price of the tractor the info on the planter. I didn’t catch how fast he was traveling during the planting. I know the planner can run at 10 mile an hour, but how fast was he planting at?
Very nice 👍👍👍
Takes it easy and covers 300 acres a day. WOW😊

I bet the added weight of the pop-up helps with pulling the planter

I still think RX model tractors look a little weird but what do I know. I thought the CASE Quad Trac was strange at first but now they are everywhere here in the MN/SD border area. Growing up we planted with a four row. Haha
Like watching this strip cropping does the sprayer follow the same pattern or does it cover all the field? Not seen anything like these JD in my area yet but will keep my eyes open! Thanks for sharing
Would love to see a video of the 24 row strip till rig!

Me too 😁. It’s top on my list for this fall.
Nice setup for planting . One question is the tractor still able to plant if the auto drive system breaks and you need the crop in the ground . I noticed it doesn't have any row markers in case of emergency.. I know I always speak kind of badly about the equipment but I farmed b4 any computerized equipment came out Still amazing videos and equipment you have on channel b
I always wondered how the gps knew the field layout. They map it then download it into their computer in the tractor.
hi nice tractor where is this farm and how many arce of corn there, take long to come up , field get lime and fertlizer there thnaks.
i just seen a similar john deer 8rx with the tanks and planter on my way home from work and i live in western kentucky

If you saw it on 68/80 near Fairview it was this one or their 8RX 370 planting.

Is the auto guidance also lifting and dropping the planter?

It is on this tractor but they have not used it yet. Hopefully next year.
What 2x2 system was he running on that planter?
Really nice setup! Not a high speed planter? Seems to be running it in that 5-6 mph range. I ask because I am really curious to see an 8rx 410 running a high speed planter and find out if the tractor has enough power to pull it 10 mph. I am guessing it doesn’t have enough ponies to pull it at top speed. Could be wrong.

@@denniseft6460 yep. The Larsons have the power shift transmission. Would love to see the EVT transmission in action as well with the high speed planter. I didn’t mention that above, but not really significant at the end of the day. I am just picturing the perfect planting combo and in my world, it includes EVT.
Is the GPS globe off center to the right, or is that the camera angle? Or did I not see it on the planter? No marker arms, so it must have GPS.
@bigtractorpower

In 2019 John Deere update the globe to a right side mount and a smaller disk style from the larger center mount globe. By integrating it into the roofline, it lowers it and reduces the risk from damage from overhead tree limbs.

Anybody know what those large diameter disc blade things are running near the ends of the planter wings? There’s only two of them, one between rows 2 and 3 and one between rows 22 and 23, and they don’t look like they drive any pumps or anything, I can’t figure out what they’re for.

Sunco stabilizers. They help the planter not to drift side to side
What's the verdict on the electric transmission?
@bigtractorpower

They like it but would like an IVT in the 410. They have a 8RX 370 with CVT that runs a little smoother on their other 24 row.
Why does it have 11reverse speeds?
. Ok Ka
Some people say that a track tractor puts more power to the ground than a wheel tractor. Since tracks take more power to turn due to more friction from more wheels to turn, (bogies, idlers) I do not see how it puts more power to the ground. Can someone explain it to me if I am missing something.
@yourlocalfarmer1201
2 ай бұрын
Maybe it could be that they have more surface area to the ground?
@John-nc4bl
2 ай бұрын
@@yourlocalfarmer1201 Thanks for your reply. On a 9RX there are 16 extra 'wheels' to turn. 3 bogies on each track including an idler wheel multiplied by 4 tracks = 16. I would etimate that it takes 25 hp to drive each track, maybe more, which has to overcome the friction of driving the track over the extra wheels. So at least a100hp overall not going to the ground.
@MorganOtt-ne1qj

The added surface to the ground reduces slippage, but doesn't take more HP. The same effect is having triple tires. Less compaction, more traction. Better use of the HP available. Great question!
