You are in your 80s then? Much respect, working on a farm back then was hard, not even everyone had a tractor. I remember the last (small scale) farmers in the early 1970s owning only a horse.

Its just another type of cultivator, its used to break up the plow furrows so the land gets worked up more and the driver and tractor have a smoother ride.

I wondered how long it would be before this was introduced. Pity they can't find something useful for the driver to do - I know he is watching all the dials etc. (or should be). Mind you I have seen them reading the daily paper in some videos before now - I suppose it must get a bit boring just going up and down the field doing nothing in your air conditioned cab listening to the radio - when are they going to introduce TV as well. Excellent video as always.

I've never understood the need for automated turning as turning is far from challenging like driving even if it is like 5 percent more efficient it wont make a huge difference unless your a useless driver, soon he'll be out of a job!

I bet the GPS maximizes the implement width so there is virtually no overlaps = he does fewer trips back and forth on the field = less time = less fuel = more money

If it makes him 5% more effective and you pay per hectar you will be thankful if he makes 5% more a day. If you pay your worker, machine, gas and so on you are about 100€ an hour or even more. (I know that this tractor has clearly enough power for the machines it is carrying but with hard work a tractor easily takes 60l/h and more...) With just 10 hours of work a day you can save 50€ a day.
