John Daly is one of the nicest guy I've ever met... I remember he came to play the tournament of champions in Utah, and he he had already finished his autograph session and when I saw him riding his cart to the first tee, I ran after him asking for an autograph, he actually stop his cart, told me to hop on, and he drove me to the first tee, took a ball and glove out of his bag and he signed both for me and thanked me for being a fan. Amazing person through and through.

A good natured southerner living the dream with a gift. Drunk, smoking, overweight etc doesn’t matter. He can swing a golf club at high speed and hit that ball square every. Single. Time. Murica.
Prayers for John Daly, may he beat cancer and live a long life. My favorite golfer.
john daly is a perfect example of the awesome people that you meet in the southeastern U.S.

John Gave $30,000 to a family he didn't even know because he felt bad they lost their father at a golf event that he won, and Matt Kutcher only paid his caddy $5,000 after winning $1.3 Million. BTW $30,000 in a time when the 1st place prize money was $200,000. Much respect to Mr. Daly.
@rlfrohs6123
3 жыл бұрын
That is incorrect. The candy would make 10 to 15 k for any tournament regardless of winning. Once the player wins 5% is the minimum amount the player then gives his caddy. What John did was very kind but don’t slam Kutcher with incorrect information.
@christofour217
3 жыл бұрын
@@rlfrohs6123 Sorry pal the information is correct. It was only after fan uproar did Kutcher turn around and offer the poor caddy the fair amount. Just google Kutcher stiffs caddy... or "Kutcher offers lengthy apology", it will take you 2 minutes. And btw I don't know how old you are but 10K-15k was good money for a caddy to earn prior to 1990 and before Tiger Woods when the Top prize money for a Win was $200K. These days a win is typically over $1Million, and you are a cheapskate for paying only $5,000 to a caddy after winning $1.3 Million. Hence my bashing of Kutcher is justified.
@rlfrohs6123
3 жыл бұрын
Christo Four You are correct. Reading from golf digest this was not Kutcher’s regular caddy. The caddy for that week agreed on 3k and Kutcher gave 5k. Then he thought more about it and called to thank him and offer him 15k which the caddy turned down. He wanted a percentage of the earnings which Kutcher then gave. Money is a weird thing. I would be handing it out to everyone if I earned what Kutcher has in his life on the tour. Then again, it’s not my money and I don’t know his bills or who all he supports. He did end up giving the percentage and he felt awful about the entire situation. Thanks for educating me. I find it sad that he wouldn’t want to immediately compensate the man that stood in that week to caddy for him. I imagine it was a lesson learned for him.
@christofour217
3 жыл бұрын
@@rlfrohs6123 I spent most of my life as a caddy at one club or another and it is a tough life, this is why I don't care for cheap people who can well afford to pay what's fair. I use to like Kutcher a lot, but this was a big turn off for me. I have been stiffed too many times by wealthy people throughout the years and it never feels good. And it is sad he only came around after some rightly justified public shaming. I hope he is a better person now. Take care.
At the golf open championship I got to meet John daly practice day it was my dream to meet him and I did on the 9th tee he came over and said hi to my I said can I have ur autograph please sir he said sure u can
Would she or any of the Tiger-enthralled media walk into tiger's house and ask him if he needs to hide anything? That was so disrespectful. John doesn't hide anything. Tiger would have women hiding. He certainly wouldn't have his wife there, holding a 9 iron... John is real. As real as it gets.
@maxxmabemwe4859

I seem to remember that Daly had a few women.
@vstabill36

Yes but Daly came out and admitted his failings and the media happily ran with the stories. The media hid everything they could on Tiger until his 'wreck', uh I mean got a club wrapped around his head for texting women on his phone in front of his wife.
His daughters went to my school!
$30,000 to send 2 kids to college...those were the days. Very nice thing that John did for a family in need.
Daly has had more trouble with women, drugs, alcohol, wives, money, and golf than I have, but that's mostly because I lack both his talent and his opportunities. Awesome guy!
He should ask your mom to go off about Japan. Every time he discovers a cocktail
the dude
"Do we need to hide anything first?" Wow. Would she go into tigers house and ask him if he had to hide some women first? that was disrespectful entering someone's home. But it did get much better. Very good overall.

It can be said BECAUSE so much of his 'dirty laundry' has been aired out and his reputation is that of a pig and a slob. Woods is a big phoney with plenty still to hide even following the "shocking revelations" regarding what goes on behind his closed doors tarnished his polished public image
Come on John. Rules of hanging a flag!!!!! One pole one flag.
John explains his generosity to the lightening strike victim's family and instead of discussing it further, the interviewer immediately moves on as if he never said anything of importance. I hate when tv people do that.

I was born in 85. Is it just me or is John Daly an example of wasting talent? Like what if he wasn’t drunk or gambling how good could he have been? Just basing this off of the other videos if seen that said he lost 55 million gambling and drank so much he should have been dead, he said he was dead for like 9 secs due to alcohol poisoning
