Someone needs to ask John Connolly did he acquire permission to use Charlie "Bird" Parkers name and identity before he did it , or have all come to a need to get ahead that we ignore the rights of another person , especially the great legends that are deceased and can't defend their rights from thieves like Connolly

I'm sure Mr. Connolly has respected the name of Charlie Parker. If you have read any of his books I'm sure you wouldn't have felt the need to ask.

Likely thousands of people have had the name "Charlie Parker." No one person has the "right" to it such that an author would have to seek that one person's permission to use it.
