That man was so insightful, interesting, and handsome. And look at beautiful Gena in the background looking at her husband with love.

He said he made five films as an actor to help finance 'Faces,' I can name two off the top of my head ('The Dirty Dozen' and 'Rosemary's Baby,') not sure about the others.

What strikes me is how confident....vain and egotistical, even....Cassavetes appears to be in so many interviews and off-set moments. Meanwhile he was struggling from one movie to the next. So easy in hindsight to say he had every reason to be proud, confident and arrogant but at this point he was just a small-fry director with nothing to show but a couple of indie art film failures. "Making eight million mistakes, but it was exciting and fun."
