The first time i saw John Cardiel skate was in 411 issue number 54, there was a day in the life segment and when i first saw him (this was 5 years ago) he immediatily became my favourite skater until the accident in australia. i hope he comes back good, its good to know he is making a good recoverey. what a fucking awesome guy.

you kind of remember wrong. he was run over but a runaway trailer on tour, most thought he would never walk again and the progress hes made since his accident shows he truely is a ripper. That SF gold rail he 50'd lands directly into a intersection in Union Square, thats "out of control".

I don't think anybody has done a bigger rail yet.

cards created the word "out of control" in skateboarding..but its sad to say we would never see the out of control cards ever again..he'll skate again but it sucks that we won't see a stalefish over the whole park from him again..but i'm keeping my fingers crossed on that..cause he's cardiel man..he's the bomb..
