Hey good to see you back. I don't play drums but I have to program rock drums for my own music so I watch videos by drummers to help me understand drums better. Programming drums when you don't actually play them can be tricky. If you want to program dance styles not so hard but I try and program rock drums as best as I can with my limited knowledge. I am always trying to improve my knowledge of how real drummers play.

Thanks, musicfan 100! Yes, I can sing and play at the same time. Once you get comfortable with a groove it isn't hard. Yes, I am going to make at least a few more vids. No, I am not going to teach whole songs. I also play guitar and bass. Thanks for your comment and for checking out my new vid.

I've been a subscriber for years i just changed my username. Your a great drummer. Do you do private video lessons? I know it's a strange question. Are you still using the same drum throne? You should do a video on singing and playing.
@thislisa
6 жыл бұрын
I don't do private video lessons. I think it would be too hard for me to evaluate how the student was doing. I like to teach with me on one kit and the student on the other, while I keep a close eye. I did change out the throne. It was the kind that should have a little bounce when you play but either it was too stiff or I didn't weigh enough to make it work. I just have a simple Gibraltar now.

Lisa could you answer a drum question for me please? I have to program drums but I am not a drummer so half the time I am guessing what I am doing. Stuck on programming a drum fill at the moment. I think it might be a bar of quarter note triplets or a half bar of eight note triplets. I made a small video to explain it.
