I hope to meet him in person someday and tell him what an absolutely fantastic person and singer he is. It is one of my biggest life wishes to be live at one of his concerts. Unfortunately it's not that easy when you live in Germany.

I was there for this and it was the most moving moment of the evening. I am having a tough time at the moment - 8 week placement in a primary school. Long, endless hours with annoying kids and then home to plan lessons till 10 or 11pm. Watching this has reminded me that you can be appreciated for doing what you love. That and John always makes me feel better, no matter what he is doing. he just makes me smile. Excellent quality video. I think this may get me through my degree. Thank you

This is an awesome video. Thank you for recording it and sharing it. I am so choked up at the response the audience gave him and how he reacted. He is just the best there is! I find I am obsessed with all things John Barrowman. I just really discovered Torchwood, Capt. Jack Harness and that John Barrowman is an excellent performer and am having a blast finding all these treasures.

I would rather hear John sing "known", beautiful songs that he makes his own via his interpretation, his wonderful vocal abilities, and his emotional connections with the song and his audience. I'm 70 years old and grew up in the atmosphere of my grandparents (born circa 1875) and my parents (born 1916). Many singers in these eras did not write the songs that they recorded and/or sang live. In an era from the 1960's onward to today, there were and are excellent singer-songwriters. And there are also vocalists who sing music that someone else wrote. Examples include Rogers and Hammerstein who put the notes and the words on paper and then helped get singers who could do justice to their words and music on the Broadway stage. Performing and songwriting are two different talents. Some people have both; some have one or the other; and there are some people have neither. For thousands of years people could only hear music that was performed by local musicians or by troubadors. Back in 1957 I could put the thick, heavy 33 1/3 RPM Edison record on our "wind 'em up Victrola" and hear Caruso perform an aria by Puccini.
