He's a LOT like Jimmy Page in personality. Just really cool, genuine, and laid back. Really likable.

@@kenhoward2340 We can disagree... but Jimmy Page was never considered to be a likeable guy. Okay you like his work... but maybe you forgot the dozens if not hundreds of people and musicians that will tell you horror stories. Dude was a junkie most of his productive career. John 5 is the mirror opposite.

I'm so impressed with John 5 as a musician and as a balanced person. That is rare. I'm also impressed with this style of interview. SOMEBODY has no ego and edited out all of the questions and voice of the interviewer... that is so impressive on many levels.

I've known A LOT of hardcore guitar players like John - ALWAYS playing guitar 24/7. My brother is one. He was a prodigy. He's been playing nonstop since 9 years old. ...what I've _never_ seen is a guitarist with a bigger left hand. That's insane! lmao Reason # 8,337 that John 5 is a legend.

I was a huge Marilyn Manson fan up until right after Mechanical Animals. The whole sound went south after that. John 5 wrote a lot of the album himself, you can hear it in the music, including all guitars. Seeing him play for Marilyn Manson in 1999-2000 was a great experience, and then Rob Zombie in 2016. He recently toured solo around Virginia but I was away those two weeks he came by. His solo shows are just as amazing as him supporting other artist. - Did I mention he played guitar in Meatloaf??

Rob Zombie, in my own opinion, is a "lazy" artist (there are many). He has literally, one sound. I have heard he is a really nice guy. Marilyn Manson, to me, is a fantastic artist/expressionist. He seems a guy who is very easy to get along with, he is a recluse, has anxieties, etc, very intelligent, and thoughtful, and his stage persona is a way for him to break out. John 5..., is just mind bogglingly talented and skilled. Seems an intensely likable person. Easy going, down to Earth, and just incredibly interesting. And also a perfectionist, but he has fun doing it, while being totally serious at the same time.

NOVA Dash Cam He didn’t even write any songs or play on the Mechanical Animals album. He joined right after the album was done. He’s talked about that before. And you say the sound went south after that? Well, John was on Holywood and Golden Age, so I guess you actually don’t like what John did in Manson. Way to go

Great Interview. John 5 has been on of my favorist guitarist for the last couple of years due to his knowledge, excellency on any platform, just a great guy in general. When he can execute on stage any style of song from a different genre, he just blows everyone away. He is truly a guitarists, guitarists. including me with the KISS, Van Halen, flashbacks. He is just a master of all Guitar. Oh, and the Buck Owens and Roy Clark stuff from HeeHaw........ Legendary. What a great musician and person in his soul. Glad to see him, someday see him live. Thank you John
