    Truly this has helped me so much! No one explained what was going on with my weird jogs, didn't realise I should do the trick on the non braided part too! My brain just expanded!

    This is exactly what I was looking for, Thank you. My question is on your sample the braid points to the right, in the pattern I am knitting the braid points to the left, so in that case would the maneuvre be the same or slightly different to fix the jog? Love seeing all the tricks in knitting. :) Thank you Patty.

    That is wonderful Patty! - I've been looking for an expert technique for this for years-asking many designers who use Latvian braids to no avail. The very final step, after the fake V technique - wouldn't you also put in a fake white purl bump at the bottom of the V? I think that is the only thing missing. I'm going to post this link in my Ravelry MKAL group - they will love it.

    Sure, if that bugs you, when you take you CC color to the back to make the bottom of the V, you can bring your tapestry needle back to the front and back again to create the purl bump in the middle of the V.
