Joel Embiid On The Harden Fit, KD Rivalry, The Key To Drop Coverage, Ben Simmons, and More | 4 Plays

Спорт

Joel Embiid joins us for a unique interview we're calling '4 Plays' where we show him 4 different plays that we feel best define who he is as a basketball player. Topics include: Tyronn Lue's comments about his free throw shooting and what some would call 'foul bating', if he feels anyone can truly guard him, trash talking with Kevin Durant (The Brooklyn Nets), his fit with James Harden, The Harden / Ben Simmons trade, why he feels the 76ers fans turned on Ben Simmons, the trade deadline meme, Devin Booker is a low-key massive trash talker, Joel's defensive brilliance in drop coverage, why he's an underrated defender and should possibly be considered for defensive player of the year, reacting to his missed layup in high school, what The NBA MVP award would mean to him, his Michael Jordan / Kobe Bryant video and so much more.

The disrespect for Giannis in sports media is getting out of control. Even Embiid knows that Giannis is one of the top 3 players in the NBA right now and most of the analyst just wants to discredit Giannis because KD's toe was on the line, but nobody talks about him not making a shot in the OT in Game 7. Would have been Embiid or KD winning all of Gianni's accolades and everyone would be saying that they are the best players in the NBA without any doubt.

Nah they wouldn't if it was Embiid or KD because Embiid & KD are two of the most hated NBA players in the league. Giannis is one of the most loved players meanwhile. So Giannis gets more love and support than Embiid etc does. I mean remember when Embiid went to Miluwakee with just role players and dunked Giannis on his court with all Giannis's starters there. Or his 40 point triple double v the Cavs in regular time? Got no media coverage for them pm. But when Giannis gets revenge & Jokic gets a 40 point triple double in overtime, everyone's hyping it up bare.

Then a couple weeks later at a sold out Sprint Center out of nowhere he decided to try a dream shake and spun the defender out of the paint for the easy under the basket reverse, as a 7’2” 160lb freshman. lol but once conference games started it was a wrap for hopes he’d stay more than a few more months. The end of this made me feel kind of emotional as well. Great pod

I won't even address the latter half of your comment cause it was straight up delusional and disrespectful for someone who has constantly proven haters wrong over and over. Giannis has reached a next level of potential with his achievements so far at Age 26 and people like you are too afraid to admit that possibility.
