Never heard Joel unpacked like this! Absolutely riveting and terrifying but extremely comforting knowing where we stand as the redeemed of the Lord. A pivotal reminder to call out to the Lord! Thanks Ps. Paul. A short book but by no means less!

Joel means " Yahweh is God" Edit...name is appropriate for this book which emphasizes God's sovereign work in history. The courses of nature and nations are in His hand. Greek equivalent is Ioel and the Latin is Joel. NKJV

The locust. Is being related to an abundance of people that cause a spiritual destruction similar to the physical destruction of the actual insects.

You do know of course that the locust is actually referring to people. A mighty infiltration of people, like an army of locust.

And I thought perhaps the locusts are those who wish to darken our days and destroy everything we hold dear. Acquiesce, comply... 'you will own nothing and be happy'. ' Shout out to God'....indeedy!🌞🙏💞

DOTL - Hebrew and Greek Exact Phrase Verses There have been so many claims, points, doctrines, positions expressed on the Day of the Lord, I thought it would be good to even test my own position against what the verses that expressly stated DOTL in the Hebrew and Greek. I will admit a couple of my thoughts went down the drain. While no damage to my overall beliefs on the issue, there was change. I used the Interlinear to search out the Hebrew and Greek. In the Hebrew the term DOTL is "hwhy ewy" and in the Greek is "hmera kuriou" as used in the Interlinear data base. These are the verses where the exact term DOTL is used: Isaiah 13: 6 Joel 1: 15 Joel 3: 14 Amos 5: 18 Amos 5: 20 Zephaniah 1: 7 Zephaniah 1: 14 Malachi 4: 15 1 Thessalonians 5: 2 2 Peter 3: 10

THERE ARE NO MAJOR OR MINOR PROPHETS THAT IS FALSE TEACHING. NO WHERE IN THE WORD DOES IT CALLS A PROPHET MAJOR OR MINOR.

  • @CalvaryChapelOntario

The term 'major' or 'minor' refers to the length of the work, not the person. The shorter writings are simply termed 'minor' because they have fewer words.
