Joe Satriani - "Sailing the Seas of Ganymede" (#6 The Elephants Of Mars Track By Track)

Музыка

Buckle up, the story behind "Sailing the Seas of Ganymede" is quite the ride! The song actually was called "Questlove's Ocean Voyage" before it became "Sailing the Seas of Ganymede," inspired by the thought of breaking Questlove free of the small rehearsal space on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
That funny concept sparked a deeper story, with Joe and the band working together to turn this imaginative story into track #6 on the album. Hear the guys break it down in the latest track-by-track!

Does anyone else pick up "With Jupiter in Mind" elements in this song? For example, the high, thin guitar from about 1:52 to about 2:35? This song is in my top three from the album. I love the changes. Every section is fresh and moving.

With Jupiter in Mind ! Great ear you have there.. I hear elements of (as you mentioned) With Jupiter in Mind / Borg Sex / Oriental Melody / Mystical Potato head Groove Thing - Key word you used elements Its amazing how Joe's spirit in moments of songs past ( if you will) show up throughout this Sailing the Seas song

Love, love, love this song! It's trippy and bizarre and very unique compared to most of Joe's catalog. I definitely hear some Allan Holdsworth influence on Joe's and Rai's parts in this song. Great work Joe and Rai and Kenny and Bryan and Eric!

Great song from a great album, but, regarding the impossible reference frame known as the vacuum of 'space', nature abhors a vacuum. It is impossible to have the Earth's pressurised gaseous system coexisting directly next to a vacuum without a physical solid barrier separating them, it would want to equilibrate, the Earth's pressurised gaseous system would need a physical solid barrier to contain it. Everyday demonstrable, repeatable and verifiable natural science proves, beyond any doubt, that a pressurised gas needs a physical solid barrier to contain it, and a vacuum has to be within a separate physical solid container, a physical solid container is needed to create a vacuum, scientific fact. 'Space' does not exist, it was made up by historic Jesuit priests, the Catholic Church, The Vatican, it is all religion. There are NO genuine photographs or film footage of a 'globe' Earth, planets, rockets or satellites in 'space', it is all photoshopped, composites, images, CGI, cartoons, fish-eye lenses and paintings. The ability of water to always find its lowest level is not a 'conspiracy theory', it is a practically demonstrable, repeatable and verifiable scientific fact, and objective reality with tangible substance. Water does not tell lies, people do. The natural physics and behaviour of water, fluid mechanics, proves, beyond any doubt, the Earth is a demonstrable level plane. The Earth is said to be over 70% covered in liquid, water, a tangible substance, and water always seeks equilibrium, level, at the same elevation, in a straight line, from the starting point to the end point with no deviation in elevation inbetween, regardless of distance. Bodies of water cannot bend around a ball. Bodies of water have to be contained, the water will take the shape of its container, but its surface will always find its level. When there is the very slightest of inclinations to the surface of a body of water it will always flow and find its lowest level, this is because a body of water has not got the ability to support itself on its surface, it is formless, its surface always collapses and find its lowest level. Water is the most accurate levelling tool ever, used in construction and engineering for thousands of years. Knowing these FACTS, it is absolutely impossible for you to be living on a spinning ball. There is no proof, none whatsoever, that you live on a magical, nature-defying spinning globe with curving, adhesive oceans impossibly wrapped around it rocketing aimlessly through a vacuum. The Earth IS a stationary, demonstrably level plane.

Something tells me this is more than just about the moon of Jupiter. Ganymede is the god of homosexual love and desire. He was a divine hero whose homeland was Troy and was the most beautiful of mortals. Have loved his playing for years, but can't believe joe has gone wokeski. 😳 Jesus Christ is King 👑✝️

@@psychvision101 Jupiter is also named after a "god"...some of the planets and moons were named after fake Greek n roman gods. Not saying Joe is a mo, but of all the fake gods he could've chosen he chose a mo god...is he showing he's pro 🌈? If so, then he's definitely not pro God of all and the Holy Bible...which would be sad, but not unexpected.
