Pat is right. I used to have to cut close to 10 to 15 pounds for my weigh ins for the Marine Corps. They wanted me to be 219 at 6’3” when my natural weight is about 240. And when I would sauna and dehydrate, even one half glass of water sipped slowly would cause me to gain close to a pound. It is just the way your body reacts in a state of emergency like that. For the record I had a 20” neck with a 36” waist and had a 270 PFT. For anyone who just thinks this is lamenting of another fatbody
@terminationshock1356
6 жыл бұрын
That's not how physics work. Unless you drank a pound of water you cannot gain a pound from one glass. Where should the rest of the weight come from? Obviously for the Marine Corps being physically fit is more important than basic education.

You have to be brought to the hospital to get attention because you’re body is shutting down from making weight. And people think this is a fair way to class fighters. No way, absolutely no way. Weigh-ins should be done an hour before the fight, if you’re natural weight is over your weight class and you have to cut to make it, you’re going to be severely handicapped by your health.

Why's Diego Simeone on JRE?
Hi I'm Pat Miletich and I win fights by 2nd rd head kick at will when I'm seeing double and diminished more than half my normal bad-ass self.
I was around Tom once in AC when me and my friend were talking to Monty Cox. Had no clue he had turrets. Its funny now but at the time we were looking for the back door. lol
Them 2 mystery pounds ain't no joke
Man that was way too real at the end but honestly for some people that’s what it takes

Jonas Becket hahaha
No sleep and no real food before a major fight is absolutely insane. I’m not jealous of anyone in that position.
commitment
I'd hate life if I had Tourette's that bad. You know the most inappropriate thing you could say in a situation then it just comes out unexpectedly. I lived in a couple ghetto neighborhoods so I probably would have got my neck broke.
Am I the only one who thinks this guy looks and sounds like Big John McCarthy's little brother or something?

Pat is the Man
That's how it should be. Weigh right before.

That's not how physics work. Unless you drank a pound of water you cannot gain a pound from one glass. Where should the rest of the weight come from? Obviously for the Marine Corps being physically fit is more important than basic education.

Don't they tape and pinch if you're out of height and weight? They did for us.

Big john's long lost brother!
Joe looks 20 years younger....damit
I totally get where he is coming from. I often throw something at the bin and think to myself if this doesn’t go in I’m going to die 😂😂
Is that why they call it Committing suicide? The Commitment? Maybe hurting yourself to be able to hurt other people in a cage isn't the most constructive use of your energy and talent?
Holy fuck... Crazy
Is there a better way to make weight? Why not do it the day of the fight for a more honest equal weight
