Em is a better lyricist than Nas tho. Even Nas admitted it. Em is more technical and has deeper rhyme schemes than any other rapper.
@TheDumontShow
10 ай бұрын
hell no, Em has wordplay over Nas. i will give him that but none of his records are memorable outside of Lose Yourself. That's the record where he actually says something on the record , instead of just talking about himself, how he hates his mom/babymoms, or on some goofy shit. Nas' lyrics have meaning to them at all times. Skill alone doesn't make you a great MC. you have to have it all. Em doesn't. especially his later albums. downright dreadful
@david_king_music
9 ай бұрын
True but I'm seeing Nas differently now. He's more organic and conversational, secure enough to not have to lock into a crazy pattern for a whole verse or have 32 bar verses or super aggressive. He uses a pattern when it suits him and breaks out of it as soon as his content calls for it. I never get the sense that he's showing off.
@thelight3547
5 ай бұрын
Nas never said that lol. And he’s not. Em has no content. Show me a rewind, last words from em. He has no content. Making up shit. He admits he learned the 3 and 4 syllables patterns from nas. Stan

*NaS = G.O.A.T !!!*
The only rapper to humble Jay Z
Haha "it was intelligent" everything he does is. Nas is the greatest to ever touch the mic untouchable aint no debate.

So nobody is gonna mention Reggie Watts being on the pod? Ok.
Man for me MF DOOM and Nas is like 1a 1b

To me you got to put Ghostface up there if you've got DOOM, Ghost pioneered that type of abstractness, but has a wider range, presence and energy, and is a storytelling GOAT, right up there with Nas
🔥
slightly deviant devilish
Nas is better than biggie and pac. Even pun better than pac and biggie.
Nas fans never reference Rewind only casuals are mind blown. I could be in the minority, but as a big Nas fan, I wasn’t never overly impressed by the track. Dope, but nowhere near son’s best work.
Mmmm, Old Ye and J Cole... Nice has a few but if you don't know, now you knoooow...

J cole os one of my favourite rapper, but he’s not even a top 20 lyricist of all time. And neither is Kanye.

The recency bias is astounding. J Cole isn’t top 20 but somehow new heads want to put him in a Nas conversation. How about this. Is Cole better than Lupe Fiasco? No. Is Cole better than Black Thought? No. Common? No NaS? No. I could keep going. Cole is super nice on the mic. But he’s not in the Goat convo

Cole is definitely up there with the other goats. These top 10 lists aint meant to be taken so seriously. Kanye on the other hand as much a creative genius he is, he dont belong on a list amongst greatest lyricists.
Nas is dropping another album tonight magic 3 go get it….
Rogan loves Nas but somehow likes calling black people apes and N word...GTFOH.

Exactly.. and then gonna say this like we forgot about that or something...
ok joe, at least you didn’t say trailer trash em, everyone knows from a standpoint of lyrics that nas is the greatest. Only mc that started with a perfect album & has given many more classic albums & songs
THAT IS PAPOOSE
Everyone mentioned or seen on this show is a waste of space
Em is a better lyricist than Nas tho. Even Nas admitted it. Em is more technical and has deeper rhyme schemes than any other rapper.

hell no, Em has wordplay over Nas. i will give him that but none of his records are memorable outside of Lose Yourself.

@thelight3547

Nas never said that lol. And he’s not. Em has no content. Show me a rewind, last words from em. He has no content. Making up shit. He admits he learned the 3 and 4 syllables patterns from nas. Stan
