I wonder if he could describe what you look like.

I don’t see why tax dollars need to go to these worthless, overpaid, glorified babysitters.

I'm a teacher...I feel I'm a good teacher...I take time to plan my lessons, I care deeply about my students, I take an interest in their lives, I attend their extracurriculars to support them, I stay after to help them and come in early to prep...never once (even during my probationary first 3 years) was I ever worried about losing my job...like anything else, do your job competently and you'll be fine...however on a daily basis I work with people that do not give a fuck about their kids, plan poor lessons, treat their kids like dirt, put in no effort to their classes, and openly say how they are just there for their paycheck...yet they make more money than me and have equal job security...makes 0 sense

you can change your job!

If teachers become fireable, they need to be making $100,000 a year. No one with a masters degree needs to be making 40k

they have entire summers off lol. All people should be fireable . You don't give people raises because they can be terminated . The good teachers will have nothing to worry about. They also know their income potential when they start and end up getting a masters anyway. There is only one person responsible for that

@@closer20jc the point is noone who had to go through 8 years of college should have to make 40k in the first place. In my personal opinion, tho, I think that teaching should be a performative profession
