By the way, these are fake. The cigar is the Monetcristo no 2 grand reserva. I believe these are fake because the box is 100% not authentic. The gran reserva box holds 15 cigars and is far longer than the box Joe is holding. The montericso logo is also smaller. The left sode has a golden vertical band. The original boxes are thick aswell. The bottom roght of the box has a reserva logo. The cigar color is fine, but imo these are 100% fake. One of the reasons is that the first release was in 2005 and there were only 5k boxes. Some say there was a release in 2011... not verified. If you're smoking these, they're extremely rare cigar - the box may cost easily over $1.5k-3k and are a collectors items. There are only ~3 authentic cuban vendors so the chances are highly improbable unless you know people.

Yes i agree, the box isn’t authentic and being in America reduces its chances by miles, however the release date was in fact 2011 with the crop harvest taking place in 2005, the harvested crop is aged for 5 years

You toast it first. Get an even char on the foot before lighting it. Then you light it by drawing on it while the flam just kisses the foot.. you don't light it before putting it in your mouth. If that's what you're doing then you're just burning the hell out of it.
