I was in a FB group that talks about JRE. The admin made a post claiming censorship doesn’t happen on social media and even if it does it’s not a problem. All the replies claimed that censorship os real. So what did the admin do? He censored the replies and banned us from the group. The absolute irony is that he proved himself wrong by doing so.

One of the problems with removing videos like that Dr. Eriksen one which has flaws in it is that any critique of the video, eg. Brett/Heather Weinstein's, loses its context which means the flaws never get exposed. Censorship doesn't just stop bad or flawed ideas it stops good rebuttals. Basically it erases the chance of people/society to learn and improve their/its reasoning skills. It's no coincidence that censorship-heavy countries lose their creativity and ingenuity.

Direct censorship would be you saying something that YT finds politically incorrect. Something about transgenders come to mind as a reason for YT censorship in the past. YT has a preference when it comes to videos they promote. Go to any independent news show on YT and check out the "next up" recommended video. They aren't from that channel, they're always from Fox, CNN, MSNBC or the like. Just did a video about it on my channel :)

You’re misunderstanding the situation because it’s more complex and nuanced than Masks are 100% / Masks are useless. It’s not binary. All the information is balanced out. Safe to go out, doesn’t mean it’s 100% safe. They never said surfaces were a way the virus spreads easily. And they're not saying it can't be spread that way at all now. They said before it can spread on surfaces. And now theyre saying it doesn't spread easily on surfaces, as we've learned more.

I spend long periods alone in the wilderness and even when I'm in town, I live alone and have little contact with other people especially in crowds. In my experience it seems pretty clear that in fact my immune system doesn't do a very good job protecting me from cold viruses when I fly or go into a crowd.

My experience is the opposite, I got colds 3-4 times a year in the big crowds before COVID, I dunno if I've had one since.

We need more of this… when Rogan sits with crazy people, unfortunately he very quickly goes along. But when dealing with intellectually honest people, he really adds so much value and is able to present reasonable counterarguments.

I think that's something important to talk about.

Wrong. The constitution only restrains the government, not private companies. Section230 enables LESS censorship. Without it, they would have to take legal responsibility for everything users posted, which would mean a huge increase in censroship.

@@yakojjy not necessarily. Spotify's revenue is like 80% from subscribers where KZread is almost entirely advertisements. They can afford to be more customer focused where KZread has to adhere to the advertising company's/narrative. Plus spotify isn't a US based company (Swedish I think?) and news coverage in the European countries is held to a different and higher standard than in the US.

It's an ongoing dialogue and you are just missed the prior conversations. This is actually a completely valid back and forth questioning an idea based on two different view points. To your point, sharing ideas is hard to properly articulate, they are definitely challenged by their attempt to correctly convey these ideas, but under the circumstances I'm glad they are spending so much effort.

It was dealing with Hydroxochloroquin and Zinc treatment that, does not cure, but it linked to positive effects of Corona patients and is u undergoing further testing. This is still in the testing stage and Facebook and KZread pulled it after an activist at Business Insider openly took credit to mass reporting and even tried getting a quote from the video's creator to misquote for his hit piece he published within 24 hours of the takedown. Do you see an issue with a person posing as a journalist, actively censoring a video to create their own story, where they then misreported on? Do you support that type of corruption?

I consistently hear conservatives say shit like this but then the questions they are asking are shit like "When did you stop beating your wife?" And then when they are called out for their bad faith line of questioning they fall back to "dont censor me" or something similarly nonsensical. Additionally not all questions are equal, what if I asked you "In the abstract, what color is the number 4?" There is no answer to that question so if you come back with "why can't people answer these questions" its often because thw questions are either designed to imply answers or they are designed to impede. Spotify is the #1 music & podcast streaming platform in the WORLD now & since they’ve been adding video? Give them 5 more years. KZread has been a sinking ship since 2016. Maybe you don’t realize just how bad demonetization & censorship has become here, along w/the implementation of a completely r3tarded ToS, which is why truckloads of creators are uploading to other platforms, with some leaving permanently. I’ve learned to never say never. YT is without a doubt on the decline & will eventually become a platform that’s 90% celebrities, late night talk shows & makeup artists. The writing has been on the wall. They’ve been trying to chase out regular creators for awhile now since they want the whole pie of hosting network & cable tv shows. Give it time. Interesting debate but to add a potentially useful elements to this debate; nearly all news outlets in the united states are now owned and operated by an entity that is politically influenced. Name a news source, including your own local coverage or newspaper, and it can be traced back to large organizations that essentially dictate the slant that can be applied to coverage. Hundreds of local news shows often read the exact same dictated scripts on stories to present the ideas of the parent company. If you want to claim youtube or twitter should be reigned in then you damn well better take a look at THE most powerful forms of spreading information and how they are ran and operated. If CNN and FOX can run the same story but only offer it in a manner that agrees with their narrative, why are you claiming twitter and youtube need to be held to some higher standard? These "news" and opinion shows reach 10x the number of voting adults in America that twitter does, yet the outrage is over private companies wanting to stick to what the WHO or CDC has declared to be the appropriate response to a pandemic? The CDC is the organization created by America specifically to handle our responses to shit like this. If you want to have a dissenting opinion present it to medical experts, not the public because the public has no way to debunk or verify what they are being told. None of us "researchers" can actually get this crap in a test tube or run analysis on patients lung tissue or trace clotting and heart issues back to the source. We just read what someone claiming to be responsible posts and if it agrees with what we want to hear, then its fact and everyone that disagrees is an asshole. And if you can do that shit, don't take it to twitter, take it to the CDC and let them prove your work so it becomes the policy. It is just irresponsible at this point to further disrupt the efforts to fight the pandemic by dumping your personal thoughts on the masses who you know will never be in a position to validate any of it but will take it as gospel because it's what they wanted to hear.

My doctors son who was in college was The one who diagnosed me. I was one of the first patients to get Zyrtec.

It's called freedom of the press. You are a publisher of your perspective. You should not be shut down for ideas. You SHOULD have protection against doxxing and litteral threats of violence.

If you do not conform, you are viewed as an invalid and burden to the State.

Twitter is a private company, in what way are they essential because it’s popular. If they don’t want you on their platform then go create your own and make that popular. I don’t hear anyone saying that their against a conservative platform.

I wonder how many people follow Joe Rogan‘s advice on Covid vaccinations and how it worked out for them? I remember a couple of years ago a guy that was a respiratory therapist at Doctors hospital in Miami Florida said that the hospital was full of unvaccinated people…… he said that there were people who were vaccinated that were admitted into the ER, but they were not put in critical care. They were a lot less sicker, and their hospitalizations were much shorter…… I kept waiting for them to have that conversation
