100% agreed. He has wins over Jan Blachowicz, Glover Texeira but lost to Anthony Smith. With Cormier retired and Jones at Heavyweight, Gustafsson vs Rakic, Smith 2, Reyes or Jiri are very interesting matches. Even a match with Santos or Oezdemir would be quite interesting. Regardless of whether he returns to competition or not, Gustafsson will forever be one of my favourite sportsmen of all time.

Steroids no Steroids, PETs no PETs makes no difference,, still the greatest to fight in the cage. Its cuz he won or that the points were favouring him then UFC decided to give it to Jones as he is their main hero and Gus was just a skandinavian challenger. Jones got tested several times positive for PEDs, had taken coke, hit that pregnant woman, dissed UFC for underpay, didnt fought for over 2 yrs or 3 and had the hw titlefight arranged against the interim SO its quite a 100x clear that Jones is fraudy accepted to do whatever he wants in that organisation. Even for less than 1/3 most fighters got kicked and if you look at Gus being out of a no famous european Gym where a lot of enhancements are forbidden he exposed roid Jones by far and UFC feared him.

Yeah Joe, Jon definitely "got a hold of something tainted". Tainted steroids. Steroids tainted with traces of other steroids. Jesus Christ, I sometimes forget how the UFC and sports in general are nothing more than another side of the entertainment industry. Enraging. Also, everybody talking about the "golden snitch" Novitsky as if he's this boogeyman. Yes, he used to work for USADA, but the man now works for the UFC for Christ's sake. His job is making sure athletes don't get caught and if they do get caught, it's damage control, either by throwing people under the bus, or coming up with elaborate excuses. Just varies depending on what his bosses at the UFC say. Hilarious how people think a UFC employee is anything but a damage control expert.

@2:15 when Rogan starts defending J.Jones it pisses me off so much that I have to pause it and go watch something else. The defense that it was “residual from a previous exposure “ is garbage. In July of ‘16 This clown tested positive for clomiphene, an anti-estrogenic substance, and letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor. These substances were found in the June 16 out-of-competition sample provided by Jones. Both drugs are on the World Anti-Doping Agency banned substances list and are described as "hormone and metabolic modulators." both drugs are banned substances that are not allowed to be used in or out of competition. These are high performing athletes and metabolites don’t stay on your system for that kind of time. So any argument to the contrary is a lackluster attempt at defending this tool.

Hard to say that he'll win against Jones unless he KOs him. If you look at it, Jones doe really does some immense and constant damage in his fights, i mean throwing obleque kicks, leg kicks, body kicks, head kicks, spinning back elbows and lots of stuff. Gus also tagged him cleanly in the 1st fight, but if you look at it Jones did more damage and was more versatile. Hate the guy all you want his fight IQ is just the best ever. Fights are judged through points. Not how much damage you inflict or how bloody or injured the other person is. If that was the case, Wanderlei Silva wouldn't have accomplished shit. In that fight, Jon clearly won round 4/5 but lost 1/2. It wasn't clear but landed more significant strikes in round 3. I guess you could look at it as Alexander winning the fight but Jones winning the game. Props to both for being beasts.

  • @larrycera1943

Ufc fights have rounds that are judged primarily by damage caused. That is the first and ultimate criteria. Even effective grappling is judged by whether you almost use it to a finish. If you get a takedown and don’t do damage from it but hold me down for three minutes (let’s say we trade little punches back and forth in the guard), but I had a single punch that caused a knockdown or caused you to be stunned momentarily, the one with the amazing strike should win the round.
