Arguably, Joe Jackson would prove to be the most brilliant pop musician ever recorded.

At the same time, he could have served us well with another 30+ years of songs like his first 2-3 albums.

Thanks for posting this. I've been a Big Joe Jackson fan since forever. Was lucky enough to have seen him many times.

Joe has consistently come up with wonderful music and songs a long time after his earlier commercially successful years. But I love the youthful energy of those first three albums.

I remember when he hit the scene touring this record. Those shows were so high energy. The band was on fire.

6:44 Interesting comment about musicians that don't perform in public. Joe Jackson said Steely Dan was a major influence on his songwriting and they stopped touring after 1974.

Aren't they touring again these days?

Steely Dan didn't tour from 1974 to 1980. In those years, they were a studio-only band. Becker and Fagen began performing live again in the early 1990s, right up until Walter Becker died in 2017. Donald Fagen is still leading the Steely Dan band (I think they supported the Eagles last tour but Fagen had to cancel because of illness)@@jeshkam

He’s been saying the same things for 40 years. So young here. What a horrible interviewer. And where are they? Ha. He’s sitting on a bed. Love this raw uncut footage.
