Gomez is incredibly underrated. Him and Virgil for Liverpool during the season they won the premier league were insane. He seems like a really sensible & chilled person too.

Great interview and love the pod. Only criticism from this would be that there wasn’t a single mention of Charlton which is where he came through the academy before signing for Liverpool. Particularly surprising considering the KZread game played there recently. I remember watching him play for us at 18 years old at right back against Derby in the Championship. Best player on the pitch by a country mile and there were some very good & experienced championship players on the pitch that night. Injuries for sure have halted his career and it’s such a shame because on his day he is an extremely good player.
