Card is in Richmond, Virginia. Definitely the opening match when you get that level of cheering for enhancement guys. I am likely at first row ringside. Thanks, Sue! 😎

Ok. I know I'll get a lot of boos, jeers and no ways from this statement, but Bill Howard should be in a hall of fame. I remember as a kid a match where Howard wrestled Dory Funk,Jr. for the NWA World heavyweight title. IMO Bill Howard is one of the greatest (along with George South) workers in professional wrestling history.

You got anything else with Joe Furr? He's my grandpa, and Im just trying to collect as much as I can to show him. He's 74 now and Im just trying to give him a well thought out gift

Sweet Stan Lane told me today that his first match ever was against Joe Furr in Shelby, NC. He asked if I knew anything about him but I didn’t.

@@salcorrente1008New account, but he went on to wrestle around the world, a lot of tours to Japan. It definitely did some damage to him (he wrestled for a bit with a back brace on) but he's still got a lot of that muscle mass paired with a big ol belly 😂 He went on to know a lot of the big name guys of his era. He still kicks himself every now and again for quitting right before his company merged with WWF. Living out his days in rural Locust NC

@@cameronbeaver6725 I will send him this message. I actually lived close to him in Concord for quite a while. He should come out to one of the Mid Atlantic Autograph Shows in the Charlotte area some time.

Just what we got on tv during Crockett's run,...............job matches. It took World Class and Watts to have main event caliber matches weekly. The reason my father would take us to the matches was if they did not think enough of you to give you their best on tv,then they would not be rewarded with hard earned dollars when they did come close enough to go to the matches. The only thing good most of the time was great interviews and angles used to tell the story. When on the rare occasion a top guy match was on,the tv time would always run out before the end of the match, leaving you cheated out of the finish. If World Class and Watts could have combined to put vince out of his misery before he destroyed the business, alot of cities could still have a show to go see.

Crocket TV shows always had squash matches with top names crushing enhancement guys. Two enhancement guys facing each other on TV was rare.

Is that the only match Bill Howard ever won? He always lost in the WWF.
