If I just take him at face value, he does come across as cocky. However I think he's had a chip on his shoulder for a long time and uses that attitude to fuel his success. Nebraska not recruiting him, losing the starting job to Dwayne Haskins etc and yet he has just had the greatest qb season ever. It's as if he knew he could do this all along if given the chance. This is why the Bengals question was difficult for him to answer. He wants the recognition and the accolades of being the best but he knows the Bengals aren't serious about winning. I think he also recognises that he cannot do it by himself and the way he credits TJ Barrett and others for some of his success makes me think he will be a good pro. Crazy scenario I would love to happen: Saints trade Taysum Hill and their 1st round draft pick to the Bengals for Burrow! Hill would be a gamble but the Bengals lack so much that his unique skill set could help them. Burrow then gets to play in the state where he is already a legend and learn from the master Drew Brees who happens to be his idol.

I think he's a little too cocky, not only about what he says but his body language aswell. QB is all about the intangibles and personality, and i watched enough QBs to say that the humble ones always have the most chances to be successful. Rodgers was cocky too when he was drafted but he have the talent that most only dream for, and he was behind Favre for 3 years to learn how the game works and how to shape his personality. I think Burrow will be a next Baker Mayfield: Great talent, but a too shady view of leadership and questionable decisions on and off the field, and will take few years to grow up.

People really need to stop bashing the Bengals by saying that "Cincinnati is where qb's go to end their career". That statement does not hold true at all compared to the Browns. Since 1999 the Bengals have stuck with 3 starting qb's. The Browns on the other hand have gone through 27 different qb's since 1999. The Bengals from a management standpoint may not be appealing to the media but from a perspective of building around each quarterback since 1999, the Bengals have and will do everything possible to allow Joe Burrow to succeed in Cincy.

I totally agree with you on how cheap Mike Brown is and he has at points held this franchise to its true potential which makes it hard to go all in on supporting the Bengals as a franchise. On the field they have some really nice pieces but managment/owner wise Mike Brown is a huge handicap to this team which is unfortunate.

The QB has never been the Bengals issue. They've had very good QB's but they waste them. They're not committed to putting talent around him and no QB can do it on his own. Until they change their structure from the top level down and start paying players to win instead of getting people in the seats they'll waste every QB they get.

More like the right owners who were intent on winning. Bledsoe wasn't crap and neither were Plunkett or Grogan. Bledsoe won that AFC Championship game with the Steelers, before Brady came back for the Rams, and his ring was deserved. I was a Rams fan until they moved to St Louis and then the Pats got Kraft, Parcells and Bledsoe. I grew up in CT mostly and have lived near Springfield MA for 33 years. I switched to the Pats in 94. It has been a great ride since then. I also have been a Wolverines fan since '69. I loved that 2000 Orange Bowl and had 0 doubts about Brady.

Helaire will be over looked, he played well against a lot of good players who will be playing on Sundays. One on one in the open field, a defender has no chances. I am a LSU fan but I remember when the two 2018 Ole Miss receivers were passed up in the 2019 draft, I was thinking those 2 had probably played against more future pro’s than most receivers coming out college. If you draft a good Big 12 receiver before a good SEC receiver, you deserve what you get, no offense to CeeDee Lamb.

A little cocky, but that's OK. He's won the Heisman Trophy and will probably be the #1 pick in the draft. He's clearly a hard worker in midweek studies. Whoever gets him -- the Bengals or whoever -- will get a boost right away.

Burrow & the Bengals is such a perfect match. Cincinnati has so much talent with a new coach. I can see them winning 7-8 games next season w burrow.

Over a decade 1 or both of those teams made the playoffs with us(Consider the COMPETITION)!!??..New England has had Cake Walks through their Division for 20 years..Everyone else has been suspect over a decade..The SB winner had a 50 year absence in a weak division..

Milhauze Kraig The Bengals always waste talent, always draft busts, they have have a 77-81-2 record in the past 10 years while Kansas City have had a 96-64 record and a super bowl win. The careers of Chad Johnson, Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton, AJ green, Andrew Whitworth, Geno Atkins and now Joe burrow have been ruined by this franchise. The ravens are only an OK franchise. In the 90s the Bengals had back to back number 1 overall picks and both guys did NOTHING for the franchise. They don't even had a GM and as long as anyone with the last name brown owns the team the Bengals will always suck.

Cincinnati had the tenth highest winning percentage from 2010 to 2019. Any response to that?

Bengals lost 7 games last year by one score. They would have been 9-7 if they won those. They aint that bad and Burrow will prove that.

I saw a comment on here that I was responding to and it was deleted. The comment was basically saying he didn’t want to play in Cincinnati but doesn’t want to be known and remembered like Eli. Look. There are only 32 NFL Starting QB jobs. It did sound like to me he’s not excited about going to Cincy but smart enough to know that he’s in a great position. He can go #1 and play his 5 years in Cincy, if they waste those years and/or Joe decides he doesn’t like Cincy, then roll out as a big time FA QB and get up over $200 Million mark on a contract with the team of his choosing. Also he hasn’t taken one damn NFL snap everybody needs to settle down about him being the second coming of Brady. One more note if he does start trying to manipulate his draft spot if I’m Cincy I take the best trade I can get and rebuild that way. I personally feel like this young man has a bright future and I wish All the best to him.

e a he will not be past his prime he’ll be just entering into it. Bengals - Playoffs 5/10 years the past decade. Tons of Young talent. QB minded coach. They NEED a QB to help them put it all together. Don’t swallow the National Narrative w/o investigating it yourself because most of the time it’s wrong. The franchise has been to two Super Bowls - more than half the league. He could do worse I’ll say that. He’d be 27-28 at the end of that contract.

@@chrispercell6873 I've not only investigated the Bengals, I have lived in Cincy since the 70's. I once was a fan, too. I'm older and wiser to this franchise they call Bengals. I use to get upset when they lost and had very bad years, then I settled to "I just hope they do well for the city's sake". Now, I don't waste time or money on them and I believe that has spread to many, many others that once were a fan. Check out the attendance records for a tid bit of "investigation".

Good to see Joe didn't need his daddy there to help him interview like Kyler Murray. WHO DEY!
