Ppl don't really like cole so there would be no reason to protect him. I think most non fans are just starting to see how GREAT Cole is

@@TheHHSBCrew What made his verse better than Benny's?? Cole was rapping make believe bars while Benny was talking that real pain. When I was born lightening struck and God was crying? Umm, no he wasn't. He'd go to hell if Jesus asked for a feature?? Jesus is not asking him for a feature, ever. Good imagination though. Benny was giving you real life bars. You can't rap make believe bars on the same track with a real artist like Benny. Just my opinion.

Joe is ABSOLUTELY right about the other "elite rappers" running from Cole. It's honestly clear as day now. When Jeezy got K Dot & Cole on American Dream in 2017, Cole was rapping his ass off and K Dot ducked the smoke by crooning and doing his crazy vocal inflections. DUCKED SMOKE. Even recently, on Drake's "First Person Shooter" which featured Cole, Cole was rapping his ass off per usual and Drake tried to skate out of it by switching the vibe at the end to have a hype track. LOWKEY DUCKED SMOKE AS WELL. Kendrick and Drake, you're not low. We're onto you both lol.

@@010193daniel yeah, the flow switch was crazy and the hook def hit a soft spot. I gotta live with it for a few more years though to rank it above that jodeci freestyle verse. When he said, “Gave you heart and soul, stories of my pain. Felt naked 'cause I laid out all my glory and my shame, Caught fire just to have niggas ignore me in my flame…'Bout to burn down the house, they tryna pull me in the rain, no!” the jadedness plus that delivery and how he led up to it in that verse, I damn near lost it

Look at The Off-Season, he has production credits on I think every single song, and in some of them he is the sole producer, and no one complains about those beats, except for the ones he has a smaller hand in producing like in Pride is the Devil, Amari and so on.

Cole been nice with the pen since the beginning. Y’all better go listen to his mixtape Friday Night lights(Premeditated Murder). I think once again it’s that up North bias. The South, West, and Midwest been putting out lyrical killas since the late 80’s early 90’s. Anyone else notice that a lot of people’s top lyricist of all time are from the somewhere other than New York/up north? I’m a 70’s baby and I’m from the south but back in the day I would actually go to the record store and purchase anything hip hop and R&B back in the day til this day(I stream but I still order cds and vinyl😎). I would buy music and I didn’t know where the artist was from. I’m talking Kurtis Blow, Black Moon, The Wu, Audio Two, X-Clan, A Tribe called Quest, Nemesis, Chi Ali, Uncle Luke and the 2 live crew,Geto Boys, Geto Boys, The Click, Too Short, E-40, OutKast, Jam Pony Express, etc….. I’m an old head when it comes to this music thing but I’m heavy on lyricism. I also have an appreciate for all hip hop no matter the coast. I respect and love New York and up North hip hop for it creating and moving the culture to where it stands to today. 3 Stacks said it best “The south got something to say”😢👽✊🏿🤌🏿

I remember the criticism from Cole, and he had gotten into this pocket where he was comfortable with what had gotten him his success. That's what Ice and a lot of people were talking about as his ability was never the issue; his creativity is not expanding was the problem. I think, it all changed when the random sound cloud rappers started trying to diss and he cooked them. Because from that point on he's been on fire, ironically this is what Joe was talking about as far as issues with Drake's album.

And now when people around me listen to Cole they come to me and look at me wanting to know if i heard or have a opinion and now after so many years of telling people I don't even give my opinion or be move by the question anymore cause I BEEN TELLING YAH NIGGAS 🚶‍♂️(sidenote #2: This isn't even his best work everywhere from the The Off Season to his feature run, I still think Young FadeHaircut Cole was hungrier but no one was listening or just calling him boring and I believe he's better on his beats or the producers in his camp beats just check out the latest record The Off Season most of the beats he spazzed on are produced by him or had his hands on it with another producer like Applying Pressure, The Climb Back, Close, Let Go Of My Hand and Interlude 🤔)
