Sucks that Joe had to have this moment on camera for people to realize his humanity. Our heroes shouldn’t have to hurt and bleed like this publicly man, broke my heart hearing this moment on the pod but watching him cry is even more heart wrenching! For the people who can’t understand Joe’s connections to his fans, it’s this moment times infinity! This is Joe.. honest, raw, transparent and full of contradictions ( admittedly ). We know we’re blessed to still have this guy! He could have died, life could have been cut short but here he is. Still. We thank God 🙌🏾

Crying from South Africa... Nobody like Mr Joe Budden. So complex... So many levels. This level in particular gets me EVERY TIME!!! RIP Michael K Williams, I am only familiar with a couple roles but he is extremely memorable because of his BEAUTIFUL skin and scar. I will watch his other roles in his honor!

I used to attend Christian Love. I’ve long since relocated but Pastor Ron is a blessing to have experienced. I’ve NEVER seen or felt or have had an experience such since then. I firmly believe that ur spiritual lead should be authentic in their walk, genuine, humble, enjoy blessings but not worship idols. I remember 1 Sunday a young lady came with no where to go no $, everything the church collected tht day & more prob he gave to her to assist. He was special nothing like the $$ hungry cults. He used to jump over the benches 😂 whn he was on a roll, it felt right & u knew u were in the right place fir healing, worship…spiritual refill. He was THE TRUTH!!! You felt every word there was Never a time I left feeling the way I came. I seen MKW a few times always humble & never a celebrity, very nice guy. I pray Most High is pleased & their Journey’s are pleasant to Eternity. Rest In Power Michael K. Williams & Pastor Ron❤️🙏🏾

Being from Baltimore and to see him portray Omar the way he did, you couldn't help but wonder... Where did he go to become that character and you couldn't help but champion him because that's how captivating he was and you want to see that person win. I never met Mike but his presence was felt and loved not just because he played Omar but because we could relate, not just to that character but to him. ☝🏾❤ MKW

Thanks for this. I think your story is very meaningful. We need to talk more about this. Talk more about mental health, substance abuse in our community. I’ve heard far too many times that black people don’t get depressed or have mental health issues, even heard black people don’t commit suicide. How could we not? With all the pain we carry, how could we not have mental health issues? I don’t believe anyone wants to be an addict. When you are in so much pain, you just want that pain to go away. Not feel. Forget all of it. It’s all connected. I know all too well about being a family member that sees brilliance, but unspoken hurt and pain takes so much out of that person. Rest in Power Michael K. Williams. Joe, Thank you for sharing your story. We need more spaces to talk about this as a community

In my own journey of life I know exactly what his talked about. Best pod I've listened too by far from him.🔷
