You bring someone in for an interview and then don't let him answer anything without interjecting your own personal comments. Like wtf I wanna hear the dude talk quit jumping in when someone is trying to answer you. That shit is hard to listen too. Ya'll sound waaaay to emotional trying to talk to someone who just told you they don't care.

At first the interview was going very smoothly, but the longer it went on the more petty both sides started to become. I don't blame him for dodging question they we're asking dumb questions towards the end.

what you don't understand, is the questions they were asking him were the only reason he was there for. Not promotion for an album that he has no date for. I've heard 99% of Joe's new music, it's good, but he has no date or promotion.

7thxletter facts. he never has any promotion. They had to force him to promote on the podcast. Radio personalities have told him to promote better. Something is really going on with dude and it started when he began the podcast.

Right!? Finally a comment worth responding and allow me to segue to my point. I don't care who joe is or what the behind the scenes shenanigans entail but this was embarrassing and very bad for this lane they're (hot97) in. While Joe is responsible for letting ppl "friends radio the public" patronize him this mess deserved some hands to be thrown. Very cringe worthy. I was always leery of Ebro n Rose but didn't want to come off as a hater and just stayed away from tuning into them. This is confirmation and reassurance that on a personal level I couldn't rock with them at all. You can talk about dms chics gossip but not about the music and the elements that go into it? That's disrespectful to me you and everyone else as a fan. I'm really hot about this. So let me get this straight... Joe gives Marisa the boot because she and Rosenberg divulged personal information on the radio and promoted some fuck shit. Joe decides not to make the issue public because he could hurt them with his rebuttal. These same people get him on the radio and air it out when he clearly did not want to discuss the issue publicly even though Joe and Rory could have shit on her on the last two podcasts? Everyone says Joe is crazy, or reaching, or trying to be relevant, and yet, he's the only one in this conversation with some common sense.

AJDaEnvoy The Drake DM nonsense was never meant to be a public thing. It was shared to his friends in confidence, and then it blows up and he had to ride the wave. After Joe dropped the Freedom freestyle, he didn't continue with the Drake shit. Now, you have Hot97's morning show literally talking shit about this man as if he's a perp on Law & Order SVU the moment he walks out of the building, instead of saying all of these things to him. This further pushes a bullshit narrative that dumbass internet fans latch onto. Hot97 been fell the fuck off.

He says it all the time in his music lol.

AJDaEnvoy I don't argue that. Hell, that much is pretty obvious. For years I couldn't stand dude as a personality, but I've been fucking with his music since MM2. But I do think it's underhanded for Hot97 to bring him there under the guise of promoting his music on his mini press run, then shitting on him and airing personal shit for ratings. Hot97 is grabbing ratings and bleeding this shit dry.

I generally don't leave negative comments on things on the Internet and rarely downvote but damn. HOT 97 is tepid, more like ROOMTEMP 97. Good grief. What a shit interview this was. Joe was the most adult person in the room. Laura Styles was the second most, only because she barely spoke. Or, and that guy behind Ebro texting or whatever. What a shame, this could've been a good conversation. If you really want to watch a dope Budden interview, look up Hot Ones, they eat spicy wings and talk about stuff. THAT interview was *godly* compared to COLD 97. Too bad I can't get my time back from wasting my time here.

Yeah I really want the promo for his music. Didn't hear if a album was coming and barely heard about the single. I like Hot 97 cause when they have a lowkey artist or a artist with no drama its very chill tame conversations.

I love how after Joe left they all became psychiatrists speaking about a patient. How they all talk like "oh yea he is going through a rough patch so bla bla bla". All along Joe been playing all artist-like trying to be respectful because after all those are 'radio people' and he came from that era where radio mattered. And of course these people all arrogant like talking like they know everything about his life because of they done their Twitter research. From what I saw Hot97 people trying to low key disrespect Joe for Drake to get back to Drizzys good page. Real people smells bullshit a mile away. Just surprised Joe stayed for 39 mins. By the way as journalist, interviewer or whatever you call their profession they should have atleast talked about the point as to why Joe was there. At the end of the day Hot97 got what they wanted, a Twitter trend.

+Ash Bash Sneakers n Fitness There's plenty of shit to talk about. Talk about releasing music as an indie artist. Themes the album will explore, features on the album, how Doing the podcast has affected his music and if it's given him time constraints, etc. there's a million things you can talk about. Talk about social issues with police brutality, the election, ANYTHING that isn't what they did here. What they did here was bitch at him about how they were offended to thousands of people on live radio. Those are things you discuss behind close doors in person. He is on a HIP HOP RADIO network, let the man talk about his fucking hip hop album. Lupe fiasco went on hot 97 and even though they argued, they talked about his SINGLE for 20 minutes.
