    Joe’s story hasn’t really changed. The core of it is the same but he’s added additional details and it seems like the kind of details that make more sense with the perspective of time. Joe is acknowledging where he went wrong and where he feels R and M went wrong. On the flip, R and M have always been extremely vague on their issue and place full blame on Joe.

    This is my whole outcome and also if Joe showed Rory & Mal what they making plus the accounting and why he have to spend money different way feel me. Also when they went on the road they didn’t get extra bread for sellout the arena. Honestly when Spotify told Joe to change the pod name and he jump on it and him being the face of the pod was the beginning of the end real shit.

    @@Tocozym here’s the funny thing Rory and Mal shouldn’t even have to ask or beg Joe too see the accounting, because it’s in their contract agreement amongst the 3 of them. Joe believe that since the show is in his name and he’s “the boss” he didn’t have to comply with their contract. As for their tour they actually were supposed to get a better spilt from their sold out tours, that’s what Rory and Mal mentioned in their response video and that’s why they wanted to see the accounting to see if they had some money they were owed or if Joe was really ripping them off, which we see that the latter was true. If you got nothing to hide show the accounting that’s part of our contract agreement. Like you said man once he changed the name to the “Joe budden podcast with Rory and Mal”, that’s when things went downhill. It they trusted Joe to do right by them like they’ve done for him during their years of friendship before they broke bread together.

    The beginning of the end was when Joe didn't re-up a guaranteed deal w/ Spotify. Rory & Mal's face were screwed up after Joe acknowledged on an episode that they wouldn't be re-upping with a guaranteed contract via Spotify. Now those 2 had to bet on Joe being transparent with the $. Both of them knew that it was the beginning of the end.

    Yep Rory and Mal were already counting that Spotify re-up and for Joe to turn it down hurt their souls. Then he gaslit them making it seem like Spotify was out to get them. Joe was too focused on "ownership" and could've flipped that 20 million to 60 if he was smart. The contract was only 2 years. Hell, even Ish brought it up in one business argument and said "what's better going 50/50 on a billion dollar deal or owning 100% of a million dollar company". Joe looked dumb in the face.

    I find it so funny how Joe always spin the story to make it seem like this was on RnM. He was/is a poor communicator with his team. If he is transparent about the money and the business side with his PARTNERS (30% total - 15% each), none of this happens. He claims he was sitting behind expenses...that should have been explained to Rory and Mal. He gets new deals Spotify and Patreon, and seemingly, RnM find out the same time as we do. How are they supposed to trust him and pour their all into the business? He's wilding and instead of saying he was a bad friend, "boss", and business partner he always tries to spin it. 4 years later, you would think he would have learned by now.

If Joe was just honest and transparent then the OG podcast would be still together it Joe got greedy. Joe was infamous for wearing a lot of caps 🧢 back in the day! Joe keeps contradicting himself, one minute it was Rory and Mal deserved the money he was paying them and admits his nearest and dearest friends helped him build this podcast. Now it’s oh these guys didn’t post or promote their patreon episodes and wasn’t fully invested in the success of the podcast. Joe just admit you was a bad leader and you hid stuff from your nearest and dearest friends. Both Rory and Mal have been on record along with us fans when you came out of nowhere with the patreon deal, and all they asked was hey Joe what was this deal about, why were we left out of the decision making? Rory and Mal even said hey it was a lot of money they were getting paid from the patreon deal so their not mad about that part, but their mad about Joe acting like their boss and not their business partner and informing them about the business dealings of their podcast! All three of them contribute to the podcast financially, idk where people got the idea from that Joe paid for everything where he even admits that’s during the pandemic he is glad Rory and Mal weren’t greedy with money and that helped contribute to them giving us episodes during the pandemic. So ladies and gentleman let’s stop listening to Joe changing narratives, because at one point in time before this break up we all rocked with Joe, Rory, Mal, and parks as a crew. We loved the live shows, we loved the podcast funny moments, we loved the cartoon skits, and overall we just like the podcast; a form of media that people weren’t heavily invested in before we got to see these guys do it aside from the legendary podcasters. Joe is known for playing victim after he ruins his business and friendship relationships. Even ISH calls him out but people just ignores it. Joe has his positive sides but he also has his negatives.

If he had stayed with Rory and Mal and actually kept being a good friend and business partner, they could have gotten a new podcast deal before the deals ended and secured that big bag and then after that new deal was done, Joe could have approached Rory and Mal about starting theJBP network and maybe it would still be a thing today and probably even bigger. Greed got to Joe budden and he was looking for a way to get Rory and Mal out, basically self sabotage so he can keep everything for himself. Mal said it himself that’s he been with Joe for a decade and knows that Joe has good qualities about himself but when it came to the money, something Joe struggled to maintain during his rap and tv career, he went and let greed take him over once their podcast got successful. If he remained humble and continued to do right by Rory and Mal like they did for him and many other people said they did, Joe would be richer than he is now along with Rory, Mal, Parks, and Ian. Joe knows this but will never admit. But they all landed so maybe in another life time we’ll see them succeed together.

This is liquid cash they can use to not only pay themselves but keep their podcast and crew paid well without giving up any of it in a podcast deal. (Which they didn’t have to do even when they were signed with sirus xm.) I find it funny that not only was tour Joe bread and butter at one point (his words not mine), he tried to do a tour with Ish and Ice and no one bought enough tickets so he had to cancel the tour and hasn’t tried a new tour since with his new crew. Even though I don't really listen to Rory and Mal anymore, I still blame Joe for not being square with them. He was 100% the cause of their tension and he tried to turn his friends into employees. While having a vision is cool, you can't blame other people for not sharing your vision if its not something they believe in. Joe found folks to help serve his purpose and he continued to be successful despite many of us who were waiting on his downfall.

    I see what joe is saying. There's what you signed to do then there's the extra stuff like promoting the pod and the pstreon because if you're independent its on you to make it work. Obviously, there are other factors real or imaginary at play, with these three, so there was a lack of trust to want to do that work.

  • @bandhere728

    @bandhere728

    Nah they still promoted the podcast. Their main issue was that the patreon deal was an announcement came out of nowhere. Basically Joe wanted Rory and Mal to just shut up, accept the paycheck and podcast more for patreon. Which I’m sure Rory and Mal had no problem doing because they had after hours on the podcast before all three of them were getting paid on the podcast. So all Rory and Mal was asking Joe was hey stop treating us like we’re your employees and continue to treats us like business partners and informs us in what going on with our podcast before we proceed. Joe, Rory, and Mal had lives after they filmed a podcast episode and Joe just expected them to drop everything after work they had to do just for the sake of more podding when they have no idea, nor did they all agree to do more podcasting after their regular podcast was recorded. Bad leadership from Joe budden since it “his podcast”.

I did like mal when they did the JB pod but somethin about him changed after and it could be because of joe. How jb handled that situation with rory and mal was disgusting in my opinion. When joe constantly says things like "idc about contracts OR i dont go by contracts"....what?? That right should immediately cause anyone looking to work with joe immediate red flag and smoke signals. He dint give a fk about what a contract says but i guarantee every mf sitting on thise white couches has a contract and i guarantee joe expects them to follow what the contract says. A grandiose narcissist is a person who exhibits an exaggerated sense of self-importance, a need for excessive admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. This form of narcissism is characterized by an overt sense of superiority, dominance, and arrogance. Grandiose narcissists often have fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, or beauty, and they believe they are special and unique. They tend to seek out attention and admiration, often manipulating or exploiting others to maintain their self-image. This behavior contrasts with vulnerable narcissism, which is marked by insecurity, sensitivity to criticism, and a constant need for reassurance.
