    Joe... The UK is crying out for a proper tour, a keeping the blues alive alive tour. The full band.... There are more cities than London and Edinburgh. For the love of Blues, please hit central UK, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham.... So many fans just waiting to see you and the band in the flesh. Much love from the UK.

    Very credible coming from a guy who was rejected by the music industry and made it on his own! Admittedly I’m a huge fan. But you can’t deny the years spent grinding it out before succeeding have given him a valuable perspective. Any advice he has, I’m all ears! Keep rocking Joe!

    I have great respect for all artist like Joe. In my late years I purchase CD's, vinyl, merch, and attend shows of talented upcoming artists who may never reach top level fame. They deserve to, but many are self producing and controlling their music with integrity.

    Just had to pause this video and respond to Joe’s comments on Spotify. I couldn’t agree more with his stance on Spotify and how much it devalues artistic expression. Buy the album, go to the gig and buy the merchandise- that’s the best way to support artists.

  • @innitbruv2

    @innitbruv2

    I had to pause the video as well to say I agree with you. Spotify and others are pushing for artists to become influencers. But then that is not an artist, that is a puppet. Its killing genuine creativity, and the artists who stay true don’t get paid for it. I try and buy all my music digitally, but would also like to start a physical collection once I get my own place (and have money). Spotify costs like $150 a year. You can buy like 13 albums. Those albums would mean much more to you than those end of year recaps do. It’s real value then to you, not towards a greedy company.

    A comment for Joe personally - Sir, if you're reading this... I read that you took your inspiration from SRV, and I love that - you have taken that passion and developed your own sound and your own amazing talent to the point where I can't imagine how awesome it would be to see you and Stevie jamming together. Your music makes me happy, thank you.

    I like Joe Bonamassa as he has excelled himself as a noteworthy Blues Rock figure. By the same token, I like Samatha Fish because she's trying hard to come up in the very masculine world of Rock & Rock Blues world.SF is good to watch LIVE & will reach a higher stage in her career than she's longing for. But the reason I mention SF is that those were the old days when both JB would perform on the same small, quickly assembled stage, outside shopping arcade & so on. But that's how all the bands make their start. Those early days, I still remember when we were just getting used to Joe's surname. But now JB is well known & fills all the big auditoriums all over the world playing among all his heroes. So good on you JB & ROCK ON & make everyone happy. I also have to say all the best to SF.

    No wonder my daughter has had "small " bands staying at her house for 2 or 3 days ,being fed and housed, and playing a short show and or practice session for her friends ..managers, wives, a few kids even....when having several days between concerts that are near her and their next show they have loved a place to hang. I think though that the last band to do it made her a bit more selective...they ruined a good thing. P.s. she's a damn good cook.

    @@enkiea8322 It strikes me that if a musical person wanted to sincerely build a career, they can now access an entire raft of communication, and media options that can result in an independent path. Obviously, there are lots of 'moving parts' to this, and describing them in a KZread comment is not really going to work, but shall we say if you wanted to, a shift of perspective is required.

    @@Deliquescentinsight Well, maybe so. I tend to think though, that if the general gist of something can't be explained in a paragraph or less, it's probably alot of abstract, convoluted nonsense. Which is tact typically used by grifters to dupe creators. Sure, there are more open paths of communication. Paths of communication that other "artists" use to steal intellectual property/ideas from artists who post original material on places like Instagram. To say an artist/creator would simply figure out all this labyrinth intrigue/minutia if they "genuinely wanted a career" is dismissive and condescending, respectfully.

    I will disagree with him on cost of making and producing a record...it doesn't cost the same because people can get a laptop and pro tools at home for $9.99 a month and make a record cheap that can sound as good as a studio album. This way you own your masters because you didn't take a loan from the record company that you have to pay back.
