Very poor spin. This was not an 80 year old having a bad debate, this was an 81 year old that was struggling to speak and looked very confused. You saw what you wanted to see, but make no mistake about it, tens of millions of people that watched saw that President Biden is clearly diminished in his old age. Some donors have already pledged to pause their contributions, and if his poll numbers take a hit across the board in the next week or so, he will likely be replaced.

How? There are plenty of instances of the BBC spinning things, but how are they doing that with this? They ran with the idea that Biden did poorly in the debate and members of his own party are publicly rallying behind him, whether they believe he's still suited to the job or not. Also with Biden only having any element of control when a teleprompter is involved. Is that really spin? I don't think so. I feel like thats a fair assessment of the situation so far. I hate the BBC for a lot of their reporting, but this feels bang on the money to me.
