Greetings my brother. I understand the challenges Haiti faces economically. I wonder how much would it cost to run several miles through these same hoses or pipes to the villages. At least have one big station where every family can bring their container and get some of this lifesaving thing called water. Haiti has many rich countries/friends around the globe and I’m pretty sure none of them would mind donating a few miles of pipeline. Probably do it themselves. Just a thought. You seem to me like a brother with a good heart. Keep up the good work!

Sometimes solutions that work elsewhere won't work in an unstable land where earthquakes are common and maintenance is expensive. I'd love to see minds come together who know the local culture and economy along with engineers who know how to construct solutions to resolve such problems. Many times the local people do want to fix their own problems, but they want to do it themselves without having a top-down solution imposed that doesn't fit the culture or the environment. It would be cool to fund engineering schools in Haiti to train people for civil engineering and then provide resources for the graduates to build out solutions. (And I'm pretty sure that Haiti has such training schools already--what's needed are the funds for training students and for resources to give graduates the means to fix things themselves.) Nothing can make you prouder than to build a solution to a problem in your own neighborhood, city, or department that is locally sourced and built by local teamwork (yon konbit pou fouye yon kanal pou pip yo). It's not just teaching someone how to fish, but after teaching them helping them acquire the fishing poles, line, bait, knives, and access to the market to sell the fish.
