My all-time favorite group. Nothing comes close to the Jodeci format, when they were all young and healthy. The talent and charisma are immaculate. JoJo was walking around making that shit look so easy. He and K-Ci compliment eachother well, and DeVante Swing remains in my top 5 favorite producers/artist.

DeVante is a true musical genius. He doesn't get his credit. He also helped discover Missy, Timbaland, Genuwine, the group Playa, and more.

Jojo is underrated! Are Devante and Dalvin even singing because all I hear is JoJo's perfectly pitched tenor singing the chorus, singing the harmonies. K-ci's voice is raspy and powerful, and his brother's voice compliments him. I wish they could have gotten themselves together.

@@mooret212 yes i agree. if you watch their mtv unplugged performance of Lately you’ll see them sing verse for verse with each other and they both sound great (not sure if it’s really verse for verse both you’ve most likely heard the song 1000xs so you know what I mean). That song in particular highlights for me the fact that they both have great singing voices and both contribute just the right tones to their parts. I’m glad DeVante arranged the song the way he did and chose which one to sing which part which truly made it unique from Stevie’s version. One of the rare times that re-make almost outshined the original.

Yooo these guys were different an genuine the energy in this performance was astronomical. Never will there be a smoother R&B group.

I grew up with a stutter, but I could sing their songs clear as day. One of my favorite groups from back in the day!!!
