Great album opener. Perfect transition between their debut and sophomore. Give DeVante his flowers.

For anyone that is wondering why thy don't have a lot of videos for this album. Jodeci was beefing with the record label Uptown when this album came out. They barely even had promo for this masterpiece. Weirdly enough, I think they may have got 1 video out of this entire album.

Great song

The reason they didn’t do a video for this song and the reason why THERE WERE ONLY 2 VIDEOS from that album is because they were beefing with their label (UPTOWN) DeVante started talking to Suge Knight and brought Suge in to help with their contracts in retaliation Andre Harrel(RIP) didn’t really back them by properly promoting this album…this is a documented explanation….the album still managed to sell multi-platinum with only 2.5 singles…”what about us” was the 3rd single but had no video…..now fast forward if anyone is familiar with the album there are 2 more singles that’s included on this album that weren’t on the original version but on the UK(overseas copy only) “lately”(studio version) and “let’s go through the motions” which both had videos…I guess you can count them towards the D.O.A.M.B album 💯

It's unclear why Jodeci's song "My Heart Belongs to U" didn't come with a music video. However, not all songs have music videos, and there could be a variety of reasons why a particular song doesn't have one. One possible reason could be that the song was not intended to be a single or wasn't popular enough to warrant a music video. Another reason could be that the band or their record label may have chosen to allocate their resources towards promoting other songs or projects instead. It's also possible that there were logistical or creative challenges in producing a music video for the song. But great reaction, dat 90s R&B music by Jodeci are timeless and my favorite. That was a very cool time in music we had so many talented groups and new beats from Timbaland and many others and Mariah , Whitney , Christina Aguilera and others and things were really evolving and Jodeci was a part of that - so much raw talent and creativity in the late 80’s and through the 90’s - I really liked that Era - a lot. I think things will come back around at some point but it is going to take some real talent and great vocalists and creativity to compete with that time …..so many great singers and groups and producers were truly breaking new ground . And a lot of the Artists and groups were really different and unique . I hope that comes back and we need to make it profitable again like it once was , but give more to the writers and artists and a bit less to the corporations , and minimum download percentages must be higher.

​@sheamartin5171 they got 2....cry for you and feenin....accuracy on the beef though---that's right around the time that Suge Knight would enter into the picture. People don't even realize that Jodeci was in the backdrop for the East Coast/West Coast "fued"....

I said I know the songs. They just still ask me react and do old school. I explained it in a video. I usually only do real raw reactions but since I love old schools I will do it for the ones that still want to hear and see me sing along lol
